Great episode again this week! :D Charlie was the weakest character of the original losties, but I think this episode showed a bit more depth to him and I thought it was very well acted. :D

The finale trailer looks brilliant! ^_^ I know what's supposivley going to happen, but still. Should be one of the biggest, if not the biggest season finale this season out of all the finales that are happening at present. :D

For those that haven't seen yet:

Season Finale trailer.

There's a great big fuss at the moment going on about those finale spoilers that were leaked. Some of the stuff that was said doesn't match up to the trailer and the last few moments of the finale are only know by the crew and the actors inside it, just like the first 2 seasons.

Love this shot :D

Still not read the spoilers :D

I think the deaths will be:

Jack (at least I hope)

I'm with you there! can't stand him lol  i've just watched the one with jacob, it was kinda weird!

I'd say about 80% of people that watch Lost hate Jack.

I think the producers made him that way to be honest. He's the main character who protects all the people that live in the beach, but he acts like such a prick, and I think the producers made him quite a hate-able character on purpose. As it's not like they've really tried to show Jack in a good light like Locke or Sawyer.

^ Yeah definately...i used to like him but i've really gone off him now...i just hated how he was always like 'why ru putting me in charge?' then as soon as someone didnt tell him something he'd get in a stress about it cos he wasnt the boss

I was talking to my mum bout the jacob ep and she said how she thought jacob was the black dust, seeing he's kinda invisible and stuff lol which i thought cud be true! wot do u all think?

I thought he was okay in the 1st series, but the past 2 series he's just been AWFUL. I also think his flashbacks are rubbish too, they're pretty pointless, compared to some people's.

I don't think Jacob is the smoke monster thing. I think Jacob is trapped in that place by Ben, or maybe someone else, as he asked for Locke's help, and I think that the volcanic ash is preventing him from leaving where he currently is. Hopefully Season 4 should shell some more light on Jacob though as I think Locke will be going back to visit him at some point...

^ So I take it Locke isn't dead then? I really hoped he wasn't! i like locke :) yeh i'd imagine he'd def go back to see him at some point!

I don't think he's dead. He's centre to the mythology of the show and if they're gonna go down the Jacob explanation route then they need to bring Locke into the equation as bar Ben, he's the only one that's ever "met" him. Also if they were gonna kill him off, I think they'd have killed him off in style, not by some lame double crossing from Ben. I mean this theory's come up before, but Ben shot Locke, near his kidney and in the side were he doesn't have a kidney, so by his dad taking his kidney, he might hae just saved Locke! :o

Last nights ep was brilliant...it nearly made me cry!

The finale looks fab...but how hard is it trying to avoid spoilers?!

Well okay, where do I start off? :o

Methinks Jack and Kate have betrayed the rest of the Losties and gone off the island without them. We saw in the finale how desprate Jack was to get off the island and he was even willing to let Bernard, Sayid and Jin die to get off! So what's to say he didn't go off the island without the rest of the Losties? I wanna know who was in the coffin too! It was obviously someone who was on the island who had no family and Jack didn't like them, my guess is either Ben or Locke.

And is Jack's dad still alive?!!! I don't know whether Jack was messing about or what when he told the doctor to go see his dad, and he certainly seemed to have wrote out his perscription.

Not sure where next season is gonna go either. It'll be a day or two until the rescue comes at least.

Is is just see or can Mikal not die? Charlie's death was good though. Was how Desmond for saw it exactly and it was in a fitting way and ironic that he spoke to Penny.

Also Michael Fox's acting was great I thought. Stole just about every scene he was in.

Bit more to the future flashback thing.

It's apparently set in 2007, which would mean it's about 2 and half years ahead of Lost time. Also I thought that maybe the "him" Jack weas referring to, was Sawyer and Kate's child, and a few other people have thought that was well, so who knows. :o

I'm glad there's no huge cliffhanger though, it's more just stuff to play on your mind. Season 4's gonna start off in an interesting place, I mean the Others are almost finished now. I mean there's only really Richard and Ben left now so could be percieved as "bad" people, as Karl and Alex seem to have joined the Losties and there's no real idea of what actually happened to Mikal.

Well the finale was extremely interesting, it's hard to know what to think of it.

Firstly, it was probably the most entertaining episode of Lost ever IMO. I was absolutely gripped from start to finish. It was a really satisfying end to the series but didn't actually give us any answers to anything and didn't really move the story on that much. There was resolution to some litte sub plots but no actual answers. And they seemed to have brought back just enough of the Penny story to keep us gagging for more but didn't really develop it more, except for the revelation about Niaomi's boat. Even the flash forward doesn't change much really, except for the fact that we know they get off the island, which was sort of a given as there isn't really any other ending that's suitable, unless they all died. I think the whole flash forward thing was just sort of a marker to tell us that the writers know exactly where they are going.

As for the coffin, I think it was Locke. Don't know why, just got a feeling.

So glad I didn't read the spoilers either, everything came as a complete surprise, except a couple of the deaths, but even those I didn't know how they would happen.

Brilliant episode :D

That's a great post. :D And looking at it, you're right. :o We learned nothing, mythology wise really! :o

I've found out some info for Season 4 but i'll put it in spoiler tags.

Season 4 is gonna be a mixture of flashbacks and flashforwards, and in an interview with Michael Emerson, he said that the reason Jack wants to go back is because he's guilty that not everyone made it off the island!!! :o

Who are we thinking are gonna be made Season regulars next season? :o Some new characters or maybe some of the existing ones a la Richard, Alex, Karl, Daneille etc etc? :o

And i'm also finally coming round to the idea, that Ben is actually the good guy! :o

The finale was brilliant! But I'm so confused by so many things! To be expected though.

I thought 4 people were supposed to die? I only counted Naomi and Charlie...

Charlie dying upset me, he has always been one of my favourite characters, although not as much so in the last series.

Glad that they didn't kill Sayid off! And that Locke is still alive... he is starting to annoy me slightly though.

I still don't know what to think about Ben... is he a good guy or a baddie?

argh, so many questions!

Dear god, the finale was most definatly one of if not the best episode of a TV show I have ever seen. It was bloosy amazing. :o

So many questions. The ending was just brilliant to say the least. I can't believe we have to wait till next year though. :arrr:

And I didnt get the end, if Jack wanted to get back on the Island so bad why could'nt he just go back? Who was in the coffin? Are Locke and Ben still on the Island? I was very confusing but fantastic. ^_^

Okay I'm soooo confused, the ending was just weird!

The scene with Charlie was sooooo sad :(

And yay for Hurley saving the day!!!!!!

They killed off 5 people who could be considered as pivitol characters; Ryan Pryce, (the one that Hurley mowed down) Tom, Naomi, Mikal and Charlie. The Charlie death was great I thought. He had a lot of haters last season and his flashbacks were beginning to get weak and there wasn't really much charachter development going on, but he managed to die a hero, and in his opinion he died to save everyone else. Out of all the main charachter deaths so far, i'd put Charlie's as the most dramatic and the one most people will remember.

I don't think Jack could get back to the island to be honest. It's sealed away from the rest of the world and I don't think he had the slightest idea in the world where the island actually was. Personally I don't think they all get off the island, but I guess we won't find that out for a while yet. The person in the coffin could have been Locke, Ben maybe, or maybe someone like Michael? There's loads of talk though, that it's a charachter we've not actually met yet, but we shall see.

And yay for Hurley saving the day!!!!!!

Aww yeah, Hurley was brilliant! I felt so sad for him when Sawyer was like, 'Look at you! You wanna get us killed?!'. But Hurley really showed him, that's for sure! :D
