April 4, 200619 yr Seems like the West have the best songs for once this year-I just hope this is reflected in the voting And even the far west (Iceland) have produced a good track-despite it being by a comedian-quite funny and very catchy lol I'll be rooting for Sweden, UK and Belgium
April 4, 200619 yr I'm quite worried about Ireland. People here seem to think that just because we've sent a "celeb" in the form of Brian Kennedy ffs that we'll do well. But honestly, it's pretty terrible and will do terribly, with Ireland possibly deciding to pull out of it, having decided if he can't do it, nobody can. I hope I'm wrong!

Ireland might pull out? :o  At this rate we will only be left with Balkans, Baltics and a few others. I think the Netherlands will be next if they don't qualify, they threatened it this year but decided not to. Austria did this year and so did Hungary (although they blamed it on not having enough money, yet they sent a great song, what would have happened if they'd won?!).

I think Italy did the same thing all those years ago...

April 11, 200619 yr I'm so glad they got it right this year after last year. I can't believe Nanne lost out last year  I MUST send you that song! There's a performance on Youtube, for you see just what a FANTASTIC Swedish pop song it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?search=hall+o...g&v=MUaMSzPvrEY Just thinking back, did Nanne try and enter for the UK a few years back? With a song called "Men"? I think it was either the year that Nicki French or Lindsay D went in for us.

I don't think so, although I'm rather puzzled by Nanne's chart success as I was planning on buying an album of hers, but on CD WOW that had a Greatest Hits of hers dating back beyond 1990 or so and it really confused me as she's only young

She competed in the British preselection to the Eurovision Song Contest. Nanne's song Men was written by Kimberley Rew guitarist of Katrina and the Waves, the winner of ESC in 1997 with Love shine a light and with the 1985 smash hit Walking on sunshine. http://www.shell.linux.se/linda/nanne/nanne4.htm
