February 5, 20178 yr Author Surprise Nominations for me: - 10 Cloverfield Lane domination - Alden Ehrenreich in Hail, Caesar! - Chris Hemsworth in Ghostbusters - Christina Applegate in Bad Moms - Diego Luna in Rogue One - Lupita N'Yongo in Queen of Katwe - Nocturnal Animals nearly going 4/4 in the acting categories - Suicide Squad having a FANTASTIC night - The Girl With All The Gifts in underrated - Train To Busan in horror - X-Men: Apocalypse making best pic and NOWHERE else Shock Snubs for me: - Bridget Jones's Baby snubbed in all categories bar the music ones - Doctor Strange practically snubbed bar 1 category, considering how well superhero movies usually do here - Florence Foster Jenkins completely snubbed - Moana in Best Picture, especially considering X-Men made it! - Nocturnal Animals misses Best Picture but does very well elsewhere in the big categories - Sing Street barely landing anywhere - The BFG completely snubbed - The Jungle Book snubbed in Best Picture
February 5, 20178 yr I was really shocked at The Jungle Book not getting more love (and Fantastc Beasts but at least that got a Best Picture nom)! A smaller surprise for me though was Sully get four nominations, it just seems so forgotten now and I think even I overlooked it in my noms.
