Federal Forces Rescue Elen Levon from Ramrynia

 

*BREAKING NEWS*

 

A Federal Black-Ops division has successfully rescued Ashtonise star Elen Levon from captivity in Ramrynia. Elen went missing from her holiday in the Kluminican Republic before appearing on stage for Ramrynia a few months after placing second for the Federal Republic with the sublime 'Like A Girl In Love'.

 

Earlier plans by the Federal Republic to Liberate Elen from captivity to represent Ashton in LVI were ruined when she was forced to appear for Ramrynia for a second time in BJFestivalen. An event that saw the Federal Assembly recalled for an emergency vote at 1am on a declaration of war. Following a random.org assisted failure at the Heats Elen was moved to a secure location in Cherry Tree City. Last night the Black-Ops team staged a rescue mission using tranquilliser darts instead of bullets to avoid a major diplomatic incident.

 

A spokeswoman for the Federal Ashtonise Armed Forces described the mission as 'textbook' and the soldiers involved a credit to their families and the nation.

 

The Emperor is said to be delighted that an Ashtonise national has been rescued from captivity in a hostile territory and has said that Elen will be recuperating from her ordeal at the Royal Palace.

 

 

Earlier this evening Elen made her first public appearance in Ashton for 14 months to perform a special acoustic version of 'Like A Girl In Love', her second place BJSC XLII smash hit.

Altyr Muunlinst added to Danaelanda's blacklisted countries

 

All flights and boat trips to the country of Altyr Muunlinst have been cancelled and all trade stopped as a form of protest against the country's new policy banning DJs from performing there. They are the first country to be added to the blacklist.

I FULLY ENDORSE BLACKLISTS, just not Aquafina or Altyr.

Morpeth Regional Assembly votes to merge the cities airports

 

With growth in demand far outstripping capacity at Ashton International Airport and Morpeth Cove International Airport the Morpeth Regional Assembly has approved plans to merge the cities 12 airports and create 4 super hubs and one private airfield. The Superhubs will be connected via a high speed underground rail line with one train per 3 minutes at peak times. The High Speed Airport line will link with the cities 3 major transportation hubs, Ashton International Rail Station, City of Morpeth Transport Plaza and Central Morpeth Cove Station.

 

The 5 new airports have been announced as:

 

Ashton International Airport (AIA) - Major upgrade including 4 new runways and 6 new terminal buildings to take the total to 8 and 10 respectively.

Morpeth Cove International Airport (MCI) - Recently expanded airport will gain 2 runways in 10 years time and another 3 terminals to take the total to 6 and 8 respectively.

Morpeth Regional Airport (MRA) - Located at the southern tip of the Morpeth Region this airport will be expanded from it's 1&1 operation to feed demand from the southern part of the city, territory and SE Sanvoria. 3 new runways and 5 terminals are expected to be built over the next decade. It is expected to be the budget airlines airport of choice for the city.

City of Morpeth Airport - (MOR) - Private Airfield at the heart of the city located near MCI in the bay of Morpeth. This will gain a larger terminal and an extra runway to cope with business demand in the centre of the city.

Morpeth Cove Domestic Airport (MCD) - Part of the MCI plaza, this will gain it's own airfield on reclaimed land on the south side of the bay with 6 terminals and 4 runways. It is expected that the first aircraft will depart from it's new site in 2019 allowing the current MCD to close for the expansion of MCI.

 

The closing airports are:

 

Upper Morpeth Private Airfield (UPM)

Morpeth Heights Airport (MOH)

Morpeth City Airport (MCA) - Passenger Terminal that shares runway with MOR.

Cove City Airport (CCA)

Ashton Domestic Air Interchange (ADA) - Operations, routes and runways are being absorbed into AIA which it shares a plaza with.

Morpeth Federal Airport (MFA) - Built to commemorate Federation. Currently used as a budget airline hub with one very old terminal this will be returned to the Federal Air Force of Ashton.

Morpeth Cove (Havenja) Airport (HVJ) - Budget airport 20 miles from city at southern most tip of Rd'ÁC. Being replaced by an expanded MRA.

 

Flights for this years TBO final, to be held in Morpeth Cove, are expected to be unaffected by the change and passengers are advised that delays are likely when arriving into AIA or MCI due to their running at 100% capacity. The Federal Government advises all TBO SF travellers to travel to the recently expanded and upgraded Santryan International Airport and use the nations domestic transport network for their onward journey to the final.
