Thinking about that article again, IF (big if) it is someone who has been in all three series, it can only really be Ellie's son, Mark Latimer or Ellie's ex-husband. The latter would just be ridiculous, the former way too predictible and it would be a complete character assisination if it was Mark, going against what has been a sensitive approach towards grief and sexual assault. There's always the vicar as well but that would also be underwhelming considering he's just there.

I will be disappointed if that's the case, but there is something to the 'porn story'. My first guess, was I wondered if Tom and his friend filmed the assault. I struggle to see both of the boys being rapists though. I still think it's the taxi driver

I don't think I've ever felt that disturbed, sick and angry watching something than I did when watching that whole reveal segment. It sounds weird to also add that I commend the tremendous writing and acting that has kept me gripped, done in a truthful - often brutally so - yet respectful way. The fact the flashback was so uncomfortable is good. We should be disgusted and sickened by rape and I think this episode could hammer it home that rape isn't just something you read about on the news; it actually happens to people and it turns their world upside down.

Totally agree with that post Liam. An extremely powerful ending to a sensitively handled series. I've never felt so many emotions as I did during those flashback scenes as well as the following interview. Such a strong end to an incredible series.

The three series overall have explored some important issues that really have never been touched before in such detail alongside the whodunnit/police investigation aspect. Both the parent's grief and the aftermath of the rape were handled so well. The first and third series were some of the best in TV and I'm sad to see it end, even though it is the right decision. A huge achievement to all involved.

OMG I WAS RIGHT! I guessed it was the taxi drivers son a while back and I never get these things right

Agreed with Liam. It was absolutely harrowing to watch and perhaps one of the most disturbing pieces of TV that I've ever seen.

I loved how they tied everything up at the end. As sad as I am that it'll never return, I'm kinda happy that they've gone out on such a high.
