Posted February 22, 20178 yr Can't write much because I'm on my phone, but where do we predict the new Coldplay and Chainsmokers collab will debut on the charts and Spotify respectively? AFAIK it's being premiered tonight on the BRITs, surely leading to a Friday release, but regardless, where do you think it will chart? (bear in mind if they do release Friday there'll be Ed Sheeran tracks in the mix too) Edited February 22, 20178 yr by mdh
February 22, 20178 yr Normally I'd say #1 was a possibility, but with Ed's secret release from his album (with probable colab) I'd say will chart higher.
February 22, 20178 yr If it's being premiered tonight, it'll get released as soon as the Brits have finished surely? On its first full week of sales anyway I think it'll be #4 behind various Ed Sheeran releases. As for Spotify debut, Top 25 but it'll quickly rise into the top 5.
February 22, 20178 yr How do you know IT's tonight!?!?! Because the BRITs are tonight and Coldplay are performing :P
February 22, 20178 yr Because the BRITs are tonight and Coldplay are performing :P Without the chainsmokers? Weird..
February 22, 20178 yr Top 10 officially, top 50 Spotify. Without the chainsmokers? Weird.. Who's to say they won't be there too?
February 22, 20178 yr I hope that means it will just be Chris Martin's vocals on the song, instead of the Chainsmokers guy as well trying to sing along too..
February 22, 20178 yr What did we do to deserve this collaboration? :( Yep not massively looking forward to it, will probably sound like a mid tempo Coldplay song like Hymn For The Weekend in the verses (this bit at least I wouldn't mind) with a generic future bass/trap drop after the verses tacked on sadly. February 22, 20178 yr But Coldplay are performing a George Michael tribute at the Brits. I can't see that out today with no reason and The Chainsmokers aren't there most likely because we didn't hear anything about it, so?!
February 22, 20178 yr Next week could be a busy week if this is out, Calvin Harris, ED Sheeran and Meghan Trainer all releasing new tracks on Friday! Edited February 22, 20178 yr by gavindeejay
February 22, 20178 yr Author Next week could be a busy week if this is out, Calvin Harris, ED Sheeran and Meghan Trainer all releasing new tracks on Friday! Not forgetting the Stormzy album tracks! A few will probably hit top 40.
