In October 2006, The Pussycat Dolls were nominated for 5 categories at the 2006 African Musical Awards held in the capital of Senegal, Dakar. The sextet received the award for "Favourite Dance Act" and they couldn't receive the other awards in the ceremony, but they presented live with their famous single Buttons (song).
