Not sure where else to put this, but where do we think Little Mix can debut with "No More Sad Songs"?

It's their next single from Glory Days and features Machine Gun Kelly - the version will get an individual release on Friday meaning it'll probably have New Music Friday and iTunes Hot Songs support. Bearing in mind Ed will be everywhere, where do we think it'll chart first week?

30

I'd have said top 20 possibly in a normal week but it depends on how much impact Ed will have :')

I haven't heard the song yet, but I guarantee I'll unexpectedly love it and end up getting irritated when it misses out on top 20 or something due to Ed being bloody everywhere :,) Strange week for them to release a single!!

I guess Hair took a few weeks to peak so No More Sad Songs will likely do the same and it won't matter anyway!

I'd say it will miss the top 40

this Machine Guy is no Sean Paul if they were attempting at repeating the success of Hair

they should have gone with Oops as 3rd single

Machine Gun Kelly is like a lesser G-Eazy, not the most flattering comparison. Should have gone for Sean Paul again.

I doubt Sean Paul was the main reason Hair was successful tbf, the Little Mix fanbase will buy the new mix regardless of who it is and the song is popular already so I think it will do a lot better than you're suggesting, especially as they're enjoying more success than ever!

I doubt next week will be LM peak as it's not been sent to radio even yet, I assume this Friday will be the first week of promo!

There won't be promo for this, for a while yet. They're still in the US on tour with Ariana.

I think this is being released so soon, so that radio is at it's peak for it for when they're eventually able to promote it!

"Green Light" for go, new single from Lorde, available from tomorrow at some point.

Interested to see how it does, she definitely couldn't have chosen a more competitive first week.

In a singles campaign I think it generally better to promo near the start to boost it up the iTunes/streaming chart!

It's like the most ultra-generic tropical house-styled song imaginable, so you probably will.

Brilliant, never too much tropical in the charts

Yeah I agree with those saying it will likely do a hair and climb later but should go top 40
Little Mix will flop.

I doubt it, considering they haven't flopped since... 'Word Up'? Plus, NMSS screams 'hit'.

I imagine it should go top 30 this week, possibly lower since Ed Sheeran will inevitably clog up the top 20. I echo those saying it won't peak for a while yet. 'Touch' took off almost instantly but it had the X Factor performance to boost it, and the chart was a lot quieter in December.

There are a few things to take into account with No More Sad Songs. Firstly, Machine Gun Kelly is nowhere near as big a name as Sean Paul, but then NMSS is arguably a much better and accessible song than Hair, and the girls are even bigger than they were when they released Hair. And another thing to take into account is if they're releasing the video this week, their videos always have an effect on their chart positions. Secret Love Song, Hair and Touch all got significant boosts.

It also depends how quick the label are to get it onto Hot Hits UK.

854. No More Sad Songs

908. No More Sad Songs

Good that they've entered on the back of an announcement! So that'll be 3 entries on Friday, then! (It's a great single choice and will continue their mini-Justin Bieber style effect of appealing to more than just their casual fanbase - i.e. another streaming hit I imagine)

Also, I'm SO happy to see them still top 100 with their BRITs performance, after all the others seem to have faded away (barring Ed of course).
