Posted October 10, 200618 yr Jadakiss performed with Mariah on Miss You, Honey and U Make Me Wanna Jadakiss was arrested early Saturday in his hometown of Yonkers, New York, on gun and drug-possession charges. A Yonkers Police Department spokesperson said the MC (real name: Jason T. Phillips) was one of four men sitting in a 2006 Toyota Camry that was parked near the intersection of Nepperhan Avenue and Elm Street in Yonkers at around 5 a.m. Saturday. Officers said the vehicle's driver was behaving oddly and said they noticed a strong odor of marijuana while approaching the car. Inside the vehicle, police found a .38 caliber revolver that had been reported stolen. According to The Associated Press, the weapon was loaded. All occupants were charged with possession of a stolen firearm; Jadakiss, 31, was also charged with possession of marijuana (a small amount was found on his person). The driver, Darnell Frazier, was charged with driving under the influence. The other two men in the vehicle are listed as Benjamin Lockhart and Kristian Smith. All were remanded to Westchester County Jail and will be held until at least Tuesday, when they are due in court. At that time, all could be eligible for bond. The arrest was Jadakiss' second on gun charges since 2004. In July of that year, he was arrested in North Carolina on marijuana and gun-possession charges (see "Jadakiss Busted For Celebrating Fourth Of July With A Bang"). Several months later, he reached a plea agreement on misdemeanor charges and paid a $900 fine (see "Jadakiss Can Avoid Gun And Drug Charges If He Behaves"). October 10, 200618 yr Author After three days in jail, Jadakiss is on his way home. The rapper, who was arrested Saturday morning on gun and drug-possession charges in Yonkers, New York, called in to New York radio station Hot 97 Tuesday (October 10) and spoke to host Angie Martinez to tell his fans he's OK (see "Jadakiss Arrested On Gun, Drug-Possession Charges"). "I should have been home sleeping, getting ready to do the 'VH1 Hip-Hop Honors' with Styles P. Instead, I was in the 'hood, being a knucklehead," he said (see "Lil' Kim, MC Lyte Put Female MCs Center Stage At Hip-Hop Honors"). Police claim 31-year-old Jadakiss (real name: Jason T. Phillips) and two other men were found in a parked car with a .38 caliber revolver that had been reported stolen and marijuana. Although he didn't talk about the case much on the air, Jada said when police showed up, "I was outside the car. The car was locked. You figure it out." Jada appeared in court earlier Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property, which are both felonies. He also has a misdemeanor marijuana-possession charge from the incident pending, according to the Westchester County DA's office. Jadakiss was released from jail after posting $5,000 bail. He's due back in court on October 20. Shaheem Reid - MTV News Edited October 10, 200618 yr by Tim

October 11, 200618 yr Author They should be, no matter if your famous the law should still count the same for everyone. You see famous people getting away with things that most people would be put away for -_- But some famous people are made examples of. It's not fair either way.
October 26, 200618 yr One of my friends absolutely loves the collaboration and thought I would love it (since it was Mariah).
October 29, 200618 yr Author I didn't either, I don't know why Mariah did collabos with him, he's nothing! Because the Lox were cool and Mariah wanted to work with some credible hip-hop acts. Hence, they appeared on a remix of 'Honey'. It all carries on from there.
October 30, 200618 yr Author Ah, were they any good? Don't know. The only song with the group on that I know is 'Honey'
October 30, 200618 yr  They probably weren't that good... are they the ones in the helicopter with Mariah?
October 31, 200618 yr Author Don't know. Haven't seen the video for years. They're the ones that aren't Puff Daddy or Mase.
