There's a lot of songs that feel like they're riding a fine line. I mean Pupok and myself may have a chance but we're appealing to rather... narrow bases (and as optimistic as I want to get my pragmatic side is saying that it's a bad idea to predict a screamo song through) while most of the other ones I've marked out may have trouble getting concentrated support. Though I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of them also get through.

If I hadn't looked at the Plug stats I'd assume these were all flying through, so I have to ignore the stats this time and assume that the silent/absent majority will help a lot of these out. The three above the second line are songs that I expect to see top ten, but not necessarily winning, while the 13 songs above the third line are the other top ten contenders in my mind.
March 16, 20178 yr You know, I'd say 60/1 at the bottom seems rather generous :D I'd agree with that top 2 being up there but in all honesty I'm not certain on them being so far ahead that they're eclipsing all competition... yet, I'd probably give greater weight to the likes of Studio Killers and That Poppy if I were to pick a couple out that seem a bit low. It seems like to me that this is a contest where there aren't many huge 'winner-sounding' songs and so nearly anything on your odds that is 25/1 and under has a shot to be in the mix somewhere, depends which way the wind is blowing when it gets to the final.

Yes a lot of the 25/1 group in particular could dark horse it in a big way, I don't have much to base this all on right now apart from instinct. I do feel like the two at the top have the widest overall appeal, but who knows. Should be an interesting set of results anyway.
