Posted October 11, 200618 yr The Arctic Monkeys have relocated to London for the foreseeable future. The Sheffield band are renowned for their references to their hometown in their material, but have decided that a move to the capital is necessary for them to move forward. The group are currently working on the follow-up to their Mercury Prize winning album Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not. A source revealed: "The Monkeys are a confident bunch of lads and believe in their music. But they know all eyes and ears will be on the follow-up. With that in mind they decided they didn't want any distractions. Fans turning up outside their studio in Sheffield would have altered their focus so it was decided to find a spot in London." Source: Digital Spy Well I suppose it was only a matter of time before they left their roots and went on to London. I guess this outlines how famous they really have become now but it also outlines how much they want the new album to be perfect and for them to not have any distractions whilst making it. :D
