WOW - great report Luciano :dancing:

Thank you ICR

Okay, I tried to translate it but this article is pants! It's pretty offensive, this is part of it:

The night of the big instigator

Guillermo Zaccagnini

The surrealist René Magritte, at the end of the 20’s, on his work titled “La traición de las imágenes†wrote “This is not a pipe, beneath it, precisely, the image of a pipe†. The show Robbie Williams offered this Saturday at River Plate (almost full stadium) started with similar instigation from the screens: This is not a drill.

The British singer pretends to instigate with confusion. On his new album, he’s capable of stating how drugs have damaged him and add a “Je t'aime, cocaine†to the excellent version of “Bongo Bong/Je ne t'aime plus†of Manu Chao. Last night he also managed to provocate on stage, using the words of a prayer while he rubbed his intimate parts on the floor, or while singing Sin Sin Sin, showing himself like the Messiah. And he got it right indeed, and he skid a little becoming obvious: he dedicated “Trippin†to Maradona; and forgot that the crowd was mostly women (and not interested in football soccer at all) and named loads of Argentinian football players. And even moreso when he fell into the outfashioned and bothering act of dressing the Argentinian T-shirt.

The show itself was very convincing: Kiss-esque flames on the stage, well-organised lights like a big jail for birds, a huge screen at the centre and two on both sides of the stage (these ones showing him performing). And even when the sound was just okay, the band sounded quite good and the Ghospel choir was ace.

The excuse for the show was to promote his brand new album “Rudebox†(released today), but, luckily enough for the people attending, it was just an excuse. He only sang the song that gives the album its title, and didn’t perform the rest of the songs (even though they stand out, they’re still unknown among the public). He chose to perform hit after hit: Radio, Rock DJ, Sin Sin Sin, Millennium, Strong (with a karaoke), Angels, Kids and even a capella version of She's The Oneas a gift. On Rudebox, the album, Williams squeezes all his influences and taste in music into new versions of songs that speak about the past. This nostalgic attitude was translated to the stage in the form of Back For Good, the hit by Take That, his former band. But the popularity of that boy band here in Argentina was miles less when you compare it to his soloist career.

How odd, Rudebox is not out today

Every artist goes on tour to promote their album, I.e Intensive Care

I know, the guy who wrote the article is so stupid!!! I mean, why would he tour if not to promote his album?? And also, he should get his facts right, Rudebox is not out until next Monday.
