Looks like it could be a very touching story and I'm actually really hyped to see this now. Sally Hawkins & Ethan Hawke are two very under-rated but consistently great actors too!

Omg so there's actually a thread for this already! I was expecting to have to create one :lol:

 

I went to see it today and I hear that Sally Hawkins could get awards attention for another film ("The Shape of Water") but well, she NEEDS to be getting nominations for one or the other because she was amazing in this, it was a real transformative performance.

 

It did well to maintain my interest and not drag for something with quite a simple story, I really liked watching the relationship between Maud and Everett develop and I loved how one moment I was laughing and literally seconds later my jaw was on the floor (

when she made some funny comment and he ended up slapping her

). Really sweet.
