I quite liked Lay Your Hands and No Worries, the third single was a nice enough track but a tad forgettable, it took me about 5 minutes to remember it was called After All This Time, but yeah it was alright.

His album was quite good too, I will probably buy this one.

I liked all of his last album although it took a while for me to like the same. I thought his new single was pretty awful when I heard it but i've grown to like it now. I have some vouchers for HMV so yeah I might buy this if theres nothing else that takes my fancy.
I liked his first 3 singles and his album was good, so I'll look forward to this ^_^

All his singles are starting to sound the same to me so I'm hoping he releases something a bit different with his next release after Coming Around Again!! But I do like his songs and his voice!! :)

Love,

I think Simon has got enough fans to make it successful. :D

but I prefered his bald look. :P

Just heard this on SCD.

Verdict POOR!!!!

May have helped if he'd bothered to sing! :puke2:

Yeah, I just watched my recording of SCD last night and saw him miming this  I didn't think it was in the same league as the tracks off his last album. Poor wasn't the description I was thinking of ;)

I liked his first 3 singles and debut album, but he's beginning to sound like Lemar [who is boring imo] with his new single ''Coming Around Again''
I think this new single is the strongest song he's done, but it does identify his weaknesses. The vocals sound very, very processed in places, and there are only so many songs you can release that allow the backing singers to do all the work. Or is there? I dunno. As a stand-alone song, I think it's good, and the last album was popular enough.

'Grace' is a rather impressive 2nd album I believe, definitely showcases a stronger range and progression vocally.

I cannot stop listening to the track 'Grace', its so addictive, I love it a fair bit, hoping he releases it as this is most probably the highlight of the album IMO like I thought 'Sanctuary' was from 'Sanctuary' ha and hoped that would have been released rather than AATT. But hey it went top 10 with the release of AATT so looks like it didnt really matter.

Anyone purchased it? Opinions?

I've bought it. I don't think it quite comes up to the standard of the first album, but the more I'm listening to it the better it sounds. Particularly like the second half of the album.

I agree with you Kitkat. I would have liked `Sanctuary' to have been released as a single, and the same aplies to `Grace'. My particular favourite is `My Soul Pleads for You'.

One or two of the tracks do sound a bit like Lemar, but are nowhere near as boring as all his songs are and lyrically far superior.

This album redefines the word 'filler'. That said however, I don't mind paying a princely nine quid for the 5 or 6 very good tracks - LOVE 'Coming Around Again', 'Grace', 'Take Your Time' and 'My Soul Pleads For You' in particular. To be honest if one takes the good songs from Sanctuary and Grace, THERE you have a decent album.

It's worth buying to support him anyway, he is a lovely guy and has a very nice voice, autotuned or not. He did a suprisingly good rendition of 'Coming Around Again' on the live lounge last week, proving that while he's probably had a little bit of help with his pitch he can 'cut it' - I'd go and see him live now I'm assured it wouldn't be too dire.

Did you hear his version of 'When we were young' by the Killers, it was rather impressive and quite awesome IMO.

You and Val4jaden may like to know that I think the 2nd single is 'My soul pleads for you' or so I have heard through the grapevine but i do hope hope he does as it is an exceptional song, different and demonstrates a stronger vocal.
