And just as we do, Ed is releasing the 'Galway Girl' video tomorrow
Whats going to be the next music trend after tropical is over? With the success of Despacito could the Latin genre in pop music start smashing again like 1999/2000?

Probably another 2 years of this horrible Chainsmokers-esque sound.

Galway Girl video is out and already has 500,000 views, curious to see its effect, imo they waited too long, sure it will help album sales but could have helped the song reach #1 if released when the song was at #2

His team may have been hoping that SOY would've broken the 16 week barrier at number 1 so maybe held off

....So is Niall still releasing today - or did he mean he was releasing it at Midnight so would technically be the 5th May as his release.

Or is it being premiered somewhere special.

Ed back in Top 10 all ready, a reduction to 59p tomorrow would be a wise tactic to keep that momentum.

Do you dislike every future bass song? I even found one I like (Another Life) and I am not the biggest fan of the genre.

Maybe the Marshmello type of future bass might become popular soon as a trend, which I would certainly encourage as it does have a very eurodance-esque sound to it in the buildups (particularly in Alone).

Anyway for a new trend to take place, I think Radio 1 needs to add more stuff to its daytime playlist that doesn't fit current trends, in dance especially there are loads of great tunes on dance anthems that don't get played during the daytime as they don't fit with current trends for minimal house, tropical house or future bass.

I don't know with pop, but if dance changes then pop should change with it as the two are linked at the minute as we see with the tropical pop and future bass influenced pop trends at the minute.

I'm actually mega pissed off about Disciples now being out of the top 10, least of all because it didn't get its chance to reach its full potential due to those morons at Spotify sabotaging it.

Today, at 2PM, an hour and a half.

Interesting that Miley is coming with the Malibu girl natural look & poprock concept and Galway Girl and Despacito being hits so maybe we will have a true variety on charts and dance won't dominate so much any more the pop world
