Not seen Life of Pi (or Amour) which I'm sure is brilliantly directed and probably would be my winner but here it is anyway:

1 David O Russell

2 Steven Spielberg

3 Benh Zeitlin

Not a great year really but I like O Russell movies in general and as I've said before, he really knows how to direct an ensemble so would go for him. The others aren't particurlarly amazing I guess I can appreciate them from an objective point of view in terms of film-making, just not my cup of tea.

I wish both Affleck & Bigelow made the cut, their films were so tense at times *-*

And as always, here's all my winners:

Best Picture: Silver Linings Playbook

Best Director: David O. Russell - Silver Linings Playbook

Best Actor: Hugh Jackman - Les Miserables

Best Actress: Jennifer Lawrence - Silver Linings Playbook

Best Supporting Actor: Philip Seymour Hoffman - The Master

Best Supporting Actress: Anne Hathaway - Les Miserables

Best Original Screenplay: Zero Dark Thirty

Best Adapted Screenplay: Silver Linings Playbook

Best Animated Feature Film: Wreck-It Ralph

Best Original Score: Lincoln

Best Original Song: "Skyfall" from Skyfall

Best Production Design: Lincoln

Best Cinematography: Lincoln

Best Makeup and Hairstyling: Hitchcock

Best Costume Design: Mirror Mirror

Best Film Editing: Argo

Best Visual Effects: The Avengers

Silver Linings Playbook - 4

Les Miserables - 2

Zero Dark Thirty - 1

Argo - 1

The Master - 1

Wreck It Ralph - 1

Skyfall - 1

Mirror Mirror - 1

The Avengers - 1

I didn't like Lincoln much at all but in the technical aspects, it was very good I guess... SLP/Les Mis/Argo were my top 3 awards movies from this year.
