I adore M's look in the 'I Want You' video. The entire video reminds me of Roman Polanski's 'Repulsion' film which is one of my favourite films with its black and white colours, her look, the apartment block, the claustrophobia etc.

'You'll See' is nice enough but nothing remarkable. She's so WASHED OUT with the lighting throughout it which I suppose is the intent but it's off-putting.

Love Don't Live Here Anymore // 0 Points

Director: Jean-Baptiste Mondino

Shot in a single frame, the camera moves gradually closer to Madonna as she rotates around and agonises against a pillar in an empty hotel. It's a simple video, having been filmed on a day off from filming Evita and Madonna being in the early stages of her pregnancy - the effects of the latter leading Madonna to keep forgetting the lyrics during filming.

Single frame videos are a triumph tbh, I love the concept. Films that do entire takes in one shot (or create the illusion of doing so) are so clever - Hitchcock's 'Rope' being the premier example and trend-setter. This video could be special but it lacks a lot of punch that the song tries to deliver. It's almost too conceptual and try-hard to really enjoy or feel emotive in response too, still I applaud the concept being executed the way it has.

You Must Love Me // 0 Points

Director: Alan Parker

The only single from Evita to receive a video with specifically recorded scenes, 'You Must Love Me' shows Madonna singing in a small room whilst a pianist and cellist perform. Madonna was eight months pregnant at the time, so she remains standing behind the piano and the video is largely just compiled of scenes from the film.

Agreed, I like the concept of single-frame but I don't get any emotion from the content. Doesn't help that the remix that's used sucks all passion out of the song.

Still don't see any proper losses yet but shocked the single frame video concept didn't earn the video a few points.

Love Profusion // 0 Points

Director: Luc Besson

'Love Profusion' makes use of green screen as Madonna appears to wander down a stretch of sand, surrounded by sea and big pink flowers. These scenes interchange with Madonna walking down an American city, where destruction gradually picks up. In the alternative world where all is peaceful and innocent, Madonna then walks the skies on a path of flowers, followed by a trail of fairies - an exciting concept for Madonna: "I always have a lot of fairies dancing around me" ;o

I feel like this video/song is hated by many but I absolutely adore the song. Video I can do without, I mean THAT DRESS. Whoever did her styling needs to be sacked.

Get Together // 0 Points

Director: Logan

Using her performance at London's Koko Club, 'Get Together' gets an animated makeover, inspired by Milo Manara's comic book art and sci-fi. The video takes us through a silhouetted city of skyscrapers, with digitally edited footage of Madonna performing the song appearing within, on top of and alternating with these scenes. Bursts of colour project from Madonna, emulating the euphoria of the song and Madonna's energy as a performer.

I actually quite like the Get Together and on another day it might have sneaked a point or two. It's really basic and wouldn't have taken much extra work from M, but of the Confessions on a Dancefloor music videos it's probably the one that matches the dark, euphoric, synth sounds the best. With better execution it could've been something special I think.

Jump // 0 Points

Director: Jonas Åkerlund

Emulating the Confessions Tour performance, 'Jump' features parkour artists (including Sébastien Foucan, who appeared in one of the main stunt scenes of the James Bond film

the same year) performing routines throughout Tokyo. Madonna also features but only on a soundstage, performing smaller moves and dance routines on a metal frame in front of Japanese neon signs.

Yeah, I agree that it matches the sound of the song and the emotions and images that stem from it. Just a shame that, what with Madonna getting her tours underway relatively soon after the era has begun, there are limits to how music videos can be created for later singles, as I agree this could have been something good with the ideas that were there.

The tour performance should have been the video !!

Celebration // 0 Points

Director: Jonas Åkerlund

'Celebration' takes a back-to-basics approach, recognising the foundation of all good Madonna songs: the power of making you want to dance. Madonna casually dances in between scenes of dancers performing choreographed routines until the video progresses to a club scenario. As Madonna brushes lips with the DJ, the dancers take turns to step out of the circle to show off their moves.

I actually really like the celebration video but not enough to give it points as its not just up to the standard of most of them.

I like Celebration too . She looks amazing on that video.

Can't wait until the points start.

Turn Up the Radio // 0 Points

Director: Tom Munro

Whilst touring the MDNA Tour, Madonna took time to record a video for 'Turn Up the Radio' when in Florence, Italy. She leaves her hotel and gets into her chauffeur-driven car, exhausted by the crowds of paparazzi that surround her. When the radio is turned on, Madonna is able to find escapism and she picks up men and women along the way to join her party. The car-full of people display their annoyance at the chauffeur turning the music back down by kicking him out with his trousers round his ankles, although he has the last laugh upon returning to the car, turning to a worn-out Madonna and speaking, in Italian: "The party is over, now fasten the seat-belt, bitch!".

'Turn Up the Radio' is probably Madonna's worst video for me. It tries so hard to be a mash-up of 'Drowned World' and 'Music' but both videos triumph it by far. The instagram-esque filter is awful and everything about the execution of the plot is so flat and empty. Like, I don't mind the basic idea of the plot as such, but there's absolutely no feeling in it and it sucks out what joy there is in the song.

Anyway, that's the last of the zero pointers. Which is your most and least favourite?

Jump is awful, such an amazing song and COADF had done so well...cheap and tacky.

I'll Rembember and Secret are both good, shame they didn't pick up a vote, she has just produced so many good videos and many, many outstanding ones.
