I can't see how Macedonia do another year of this.

 

I feel like I've been saying that every year for the last three years at this point so knowing them they'll probably slog it out for the long run!

 

San Marino are apparently already making whispers about withdrawing next year.

Statement from San Marino

 

“We are very happy for and proud of Valentina and Jimmie, but I think we are too small for this event.  I am not sure that next year we will consider participating.  It is very difficult now to think of taking part again.  There is no place for micro-states in the Eurovision Song Contest.”

I'll wait for full semi results and see how close Macedonia were, that could persuade them, they were 11th last year.

 

And if Bulgaria managed to pull off a win, well that's not a long trip for them to make :P

I'm sure San Marino make the same statement every year, they will participate as long as Ralph funds it!

I can't imagine them pulling out if the hosting falls to the Italians?

They will definitely come back if Italy hosts

 

I feel so sorry for Macedonia and Estonia, I love both songs. However, Verona wasn't well executed on stage, they have the same problem Finland has year after year: no money to put into the show (or creativity for that matter, see Azerbaijan this year, that chalkboard might have cost something like 10 euros)
