AMERIE STILL HAS HOPES FOR COLDPLAY DUET

American R+B singer AMERIE was left devestated when Coldplay's CHRIS MARTIN cancelled their planned duet following the birth of his son Moses. The 1 Thing hitmaker, who recently admitted insuring her legs for $2 million (GBP1 million), was crushed when Martin cancelled their studio plans last year (06), but is hoping they can still work on the potential smash hit. She explains, "We were supposed to write something together for my album buy he got sidetracked with the birth of Moses so we didn't get together. "I still really want to work with him. Coldplay are real mainstays in my CD player. "Maybe I could be on the next Coldplay album - that would be so cool."

Gwyneth Paltrow And Family Move To London

May 7, 2007 - United Press International

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, British rock star Chris Martin, have reportedly decided to set up fulltime residence in London.

The power couple recently purchased the house next door to the home they already had in London's Belsize Park, The Mail on Sunday reported.

Paltrow and Martin, the frontman for Coldplay, said that they want their children, Moses, 1, and Apple, 3, to be educated in Britain.

"Gwyneth and Chris have just sold their townhouse in New York's trendy TriBeCa area because they want to be in London full-time," a source in New York told The Mail. "They bought the house next to their London pad so they can have more space and plan to put their children through British schools. Gwyneth is particularly impressed with the English education system."

Paltrow and Martin won't have any trouble paying school fees, they reportedly made almost $6 million in profit from selling their New York home.

Good to see Chris and co back in the UK ^_^

Chris Goes Wild

Got a picture of Chris Martin painted in your head?

http://static.sky.com/images/pictures/1339333.jpg

Does it look a little something like a charity-loving, healthy-eating, slightly dull do-gooder?

Yes? Well, it's time to get your crayons out to sketch a new vision of the Coldplay frontman.

Because, according to the Daily Mirror, Chris does indeed know how to let his hair down.

The singer supposedly let himself go recently at London's Maddox bar - by downing shots of vodka.

But the fun didn't end there. A gossip told the paper:

"He was mashed.

"He even sang along to Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit at the top of his voice."

'Wacko Paltro': Gwyneth copies Jacko as she picks up Apple from nursery

20.05.07

It's what you might call having a wacky moment.

As she collected her daughter from nursery, Gwyneth Paltrow clearly decided to take a leaf out of Michael Jackson's book.

'Wacko Jacko' is known for covering his children's faces with veils in public, but the Hollywood actress went one step further, hiding both herself and three-year-old Apple under a long black shawl.

But if Gwyneth, 34, hoped to avoid attracting attention as they left the building in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, she failed.

One parent said: "It was really odd. She couldn't see where she was going because the shawl was so tightly wrapped around their heads.

"They were actually drawing more attention to themselves."

Gwyneth's husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, chose a more down-to-earth disguise for the nursery collection trip, wearing a dark blue hoodie and shades.

Michael Jackson regularly masks his children - Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II - with veils.

The singer claims that he has to disguise their faces as a security measure because he fears they could be a target for kidnappers.

Coldplay seek refuge in Church

29/07/2007 - 16:30:07

http://breakingnews.iol.ie/entertainment/s...amp;p=zz67xzz48

English rockers Coldplay are recording their fourth album in churches across Barcelona, Spain.

The Fix You hitmaker are recording their follow-up to 2005 hit album X&Y in south east Spain and admits the Catalan spirit of the locals is beginning to influence their album.

Writing on their website, the band says: "We've been travelling light on acoustic guitar, a couple of mics, a laptop and some headphones.

"We're recording in Barcelona - moving from church to church, setting up where we can: in front of the altar, under the pulpit. We've been playing at the feet of archangels."

Despite promising Hispanic influences on the new disc, the group have promised they will refrain from using "maracas or castanets, but a vibrancy of colourfulness that owes much to the atmosphere of Buenos Aires and Barcelona. The affect is subtle but important."

Chris Martin's got Godley-locks

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007410965,00.html

September 08, 2007

PINSTRIPE suit trousers, a washed-out black top, curly blonde locks swept back under a cap and white trainers.

Let’s hope the new COLDPLAY album sounds better than frontman CHRIS MARTIN looks at the moment.

The singer was snapped out strolling in London looking a bit, well, dishevelled.

In fact, I reckon his resemblance to shaggy Seventies crooner KEVIN GODLEY in his 10CC days is more uncanny by the day.

Chris’s stylish missus, GWYNETH PALTROW, needs to sort out his wardrobe – fast.

Martin - who heard his band's hit song Fix You played during the ceremony was so exhausted from the trip he slept on the ferry on the way home.

Coldplay with King Creosote producer

Monday, October 15 2007, 09:23 BST

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a77682/c...e-producer.html

By Dave West

Coldplay are working with King Creosote's producer Jon Hopkins on their new album, it has emerged.

Kenny Anderson, who is behind Creosote, said his producer was in the US playing keyboards for the record.

Coldplay have also been working with Brian Eno and, from Anderson's account, it appears the album is nearly finished.

Anderson said: "It was just him and Chris Martin. There he was with the main man sitting having breakfast together and what have you.

"He had done a mix of a song for them, I think they're really happy with that. I don't know if he's gotten yet to do a collaboration or not, but I think it's going really well for him, I think he's been over in LA for a week."

Gwyneth parties on – without Mr Paltrow

By KATIE NICHOLL

Last updated at 23:09pm on 20th October 2007

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1773

When Gwyneth Paltrow stepped out in a stunning frock and sparkling diamonds for the Fashion Rocks concert last week, there was one significant accessory missing – her husband Chris Martin.

In what appears to be an increasingly common factor in the couple's four-year marriage, Gwyneth – who has been in the UK for the past fortnight – was left to attend the glittering showbusiness party without her husband and father of their two children.

When I asked her where the Coldplay singer was, she declined to comment and walked away.

The week before, the 34-year-old Oscar-winner was at another party where one guest overheard her brush off questions about her husband.

"It was like Gwyneth didn't want to talk about him," my source tells me.

"It was very strange. They haven't been out together for months."

While she has spent recent months in America completing Iron Man, her first movie since giving birth to her son Moses in April 2006, Chris has been working on Coldplay's new album in London.

"He's been working hard in the UK," a source said.

"But he insists everything is OK with him and Gwyneth."

The actress has told friends she is keen to spend more time in America, where she has just finished refurbishing the family's new home in the Hamptons.

"Gwyneth has wanted to return to the States permanently for a long time but Chris has said no," the source continues.

Gwyneth's publicist says: "Gwyneth and Chris as a policy do not talk about each other in the media, nor do they attend public functions together. They have not been apart all summer as you suggest and she does not want to move to America."

Coldplay Back For T

Nov 4 2007 Billy Sloan

http://www.sundaymail.co.uk/opinion/column...78057-20058382/

I HEAR some of the biggest names in rock are being lined up for T In The Park 2008.

Music biz buzz is that Coldplay will come out of self-imposed exile to headline the Main Stage.

My spies tell me Chris Martin wants to unveil the next studio album - the first since X & Y in 2005 - at Balado. They'll follow up with a European arena tour.

An insider said: "Two years ago, Coldplay staged their own open air gigs at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. This time, they want to be part of the whole summer festival vibe and T In The Park would be automatic choice."

Supergroup Muse could also appear. In 2005, the power trio rocked Meadowbank Stadium at T On The Fringe.

The insider added: "They're one of the UK's most exciting live acts and paid their dues at events such as T In The Park. It won't take much to tempt them back."

Other big names tipped for T-2008 include The Verve and Orson.
