Tonight's show was decent again, Paloma was great and I liked Rita's slightly sped up version of 'Anywhere'. Who knows, if she had been on last week she might have been sitting at #1 today? Royal Blood and Sigrid were pretty good too. Hope the show gets renewed after next week's final show of the series.

Confimed for a second series in the Spring.

And Ninja'd!

Pleased to hear against the odds they've got a second series. And finally they got the format right - 5 artists, 6 songs, quick chats and NO bloody sketches works quite well. It's basically TOTP without the chart now. Ironic, considering everyone involved in the show insisted that you couldn't just do a straight music show anymore.
The comments on Twitter have generally been favourable which must help. The audience figures are on the low side, but if people talk positively about the show, the audience could grow. They need to try and get a really big act for the first show of the new series.

A lot of the target audience will have gone out by 9:00. I suspect that is one of the reasons for the choice of timeslot.

They're not watching at 7.30 either though, judging on the demos.

Wouldnt this show be better suited on bbc 3? Most young people (target demographic) consume music / tv online these days

All they said at the end of the last series was that it would be in the spring. The week after Good Friday would be a logical date. That would mean a return on 6 April, just in time for the new tax tear.

What's the new tax year got to do with it?

According to Applause Store, A SLFN special is filming on March 21, so will likely air on March 23 (not sure why it isn't live). Meghan Trainor and four other artists will perform.

(I can't post a link as I don't have 20 posts)

Is it a Sport Relief special? Sounds like the case considering the night it's airing

Ah, that makes sense. They could air the performances throughout the night.
