Posted October 15, 200618 yr Slither out on DVD tomorrow!! one of the better B's/horrors if you wanna get something fun for halloween!! however remember its on Entertainment in Video the name you know will turn up cheap after Xmas  the stuff about the disc: synopsis Jun 2006 “Slither†is not serious. It is funny, gory, insane and brilliant, but it is not serious. From James Gunn (writer of the excellent “Dawn of the Dead†remake) comes a comedy-horror that will tickle cheeks with tongue and cover screens with a liberal splattering of violence, gore and madness. The premise is simple – alien invasion. The invasion itself, however, is utterly bizarre. A small pinkish blob crash-lands into a small town in America. Here it slithers and waits, until Grant Grant (Michael Rooker) stumbles drunkenly upon it. He is made into a “host†for the parasitic illegal, and from here the invasion begins. The quiet lifeless town of Wheelsy is suddenly confronted with body-snatching slugs, insane squidy-tentacled monsters and each other. It is up to Sheriff Bill Pardy (played brilliantly by Serenity's Nathan Fillion) to save the town, himself and the woman he's always loved. Fighting off thousands of slugs, an evil deer and a town full of the infected, the task is more than just a hassle, it's downright annoying. “Slither†can be brutal at times, disgusting at others, but always enjoyable. Rolling together zombies, aliens and cracking wit makes “Slither†a joy to watch for all horror fans. A mixture of B-movie homage, clever parody and insane originality, “Slither†will make you squirm and laugh in equal measure. Brilliantly written, endlessly nasty and very funny, “Slither†is a beast of a film: let it slide into your brain and take nest. You won't regret it.
