Yeah, that was absolutely MENTAL to be fair. The era would have gotten off to a much less shaky start had they gone with that as the lead, she was in such a perfect position after LMLYD.

 

Mind you, the album wasn't exactly awash with killer single choices aside from that song so maybe it still would have struggled in the long-term anyway.

Because OMM had the narrative with Ed or so they thought.

So, it turns out that Ellie has never spoken to Swae Lee in her life and that Swae’s verse in the music video was shot in his back garden!!! :lol: :lol:

I thought the same about SITWYM. Never understood why it underperformed when it finally did get released. It did well on radio here in the states but it never gained enough traction on sales or streaming. I thought Aftertaste had potential too but I may be in the minority there.

 

Anyway, glad this is doing pretty well for her. Up to #4 on pop radio here.

Depends on the song’s distributor. SM’s producers probably have the stems through said distributors, and they thought RV fit the song well enough so that the song could cross over to Korea and potentially Japan. At least it gives them some material before they release their Japanese album.
