X-RATED CONFESSION

Exclusive Pussycat Dolls admit they love Simon Cowell.. because he's funny and doesn't care what you think

SIMON COWELL's smug smile will be that bit wider when he finds out .. .The Pussycat Dolls are big fans of his.

The sexy six, who are about to launch their own television show to find a seventh member, claim Simon has the X Factor he's always looking for in his programme, which goes out live from tomorrow night.

Carmit Bachar said: "He has that X Factor. I love him.

"He's sort of reserved and doesn't really care what you think. He's funny."

Melody Thornton added: "I like him too because the thing is that he's usually pretty accurate. If you can sing, he's like 'You're pretty good'.

"He's the real music business and if you're not good, he'll just let you know.

"It sucks because I see other shows where people are trying to be Simon and they are just not."

And lead singer Nicole Scherzinger said: "He can be kind of harsh, but that's part of his character. It's part of the fun."

But before Simon gets too excited, Melody chimed in: "But he's not my type.

"He's sort of sexy but I would never date him."

Nicole, Melody and Carmit, as well as fellow Dolls Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Kimberly Wyatt, are coming to Scotland next month on tour.

But they will also be waiting for The Search For The Next Pussycat Doll which is due to start on new American television network The CW in America in November after X Factor-style auditions in America.

The hopefuls will be judged by Robin Antin, the choreographer who founded the gorgeous group in 1995.

Jessica said: "I think the underlying reason behind the show is for inspiration and to really show people that you can follow your dreams.

"Because it took a long time for us to get here but we made it.

"Dreams do come true and we're normal people, you know.

"So I think that's what the main intention of the show is and hopefully we'll be lucky enough to find someone who will fit in and really do what we do.

"You know our motto is that inside of every woman is a Pussycat Doll, so we intend to find it."

The Dolls began as a burlesque dance troupe based in Los Angeles and their first gig was at Johnny Depp's Viper Room with Carmen Electra as one of the dancers.

The phenomenon expanded to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and they released debut album PCD last year.

Their first UK singles, Don't Cha and Stickwitu, both went to No. 1, with Beep at No.2, Buttons at No.3 and I Don't Need A Man at No.7. The album has since gone three times platinum in the UK, selling more than one million copies and over four million worldwide.

NEW single Wait A Minute is out at the end of November and the Dolls kick off their UK winter tour at Glasgow's SECC on November 26 with support from Rihanna. :o

Last year as Don't Cha was released, many people in the UK compared the Dolls to the Spice Girls.

The girls laughed. Jessica said: "But we don't take offence at all. We thought that was really cool."

Nicole added: "It was a different time and place and it worked. I saw an old Top Of The Pops with them on it and they were lip-synching and they were just having a blast.

"They were so hyper and Geri Spice was wearing a neon green Lycra dress and I was like 'Work it out'.

"Baby Spice was wearing this white kind of nurse dress and her hair in pigtails and these platform black flip-flops.

"But you know it was a time and a place and that was hot."

Now it's Pussycat Dolls time and it seems the group's burlesque roots are crossing over to the mainstream.

Christina Aguilera, who has been one of the celebs to join the group on stage, seems to have taken a page, or her image, out of the Dolls' look with new album Back To Basics.

Nicole said: "Well, she did our show too.

"Part of her show was inspired by us and her whole new record and concept is inspired by the burlesque era, so hopefully we've helped start the new age.

"Everyone will b e jumping on our bandwagon and then we'll be jumping off it .

"We're moving on, you catch it."
