Firstly, Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne have joined the cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp :w00t:

and here's the US Box Office Estimates:

1 DUNKIRK - $50,500,000

2 GIRLS TRIP - $30,370,720

3 SPIDER MAN HOMECOMING - $22,010,000

4 WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES - $20,400,000

5 VALERIAN - $17,020,000

6 DESPICABLE ME 3 - $12,714,475

7 BABY DRIVER - $6,000,000

8 THE BIG SICK - $5,000,000

9 WONDER WOMAN - $4,630,000

10 WISH UPON - $2,477,816

VERY impressive numbers for Dunkirk and it has outdone a lot of industry projections, that's even more than Interstellar ($47,510,360) and Batman Begins ($48,745,440) opened with in terms of Nolan numbers!!

Really good numbers for Girls Trip too, the reviews seem to have done wonders for it and it looks as if it is blowing up a bit - it should surely have a good run with such positive press about it as well :cheer: That opening is higher than Bridesmaids ($26,247,410) :o

Pretty worrying for Apes though, a 63% drop in its second week and a drop straight from top of the box office to 4th doesn't look great... Dawn made $36,254,310 in its second weekend for comparison and dropped 50% whilst remaining at #1 at the box office.

In more great news for Wonder Woman, it has become the US hit of the summer overtaking the domestic total for GOTG2 despite opening over $40 million dollars lower! It now only trails behind Beauty and the Beast for US box office this year :o

'Wonder Woman 2' has set a release date for December 13, 2019. Gal Gadot is obviously returning but no word on Patty Jenkins or Chris Pine yet.

A shame it's so far away :( That holiday season is pretty packed too in the release schedule - no Star Wars as that's going to be a summer release but there is Frozen 2 and Wicked in December 2019 too :o

This was the UK Box Office for last weekend by the way (July 21-23)

1 DUNKIRK - £10,023,720

2 DESPICABLE ME 3 - £3,053,307

3 WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES - £2,681,471

4 SPIDER MAN HOMECOMING - £2,182,029

5 CARS 3 - £1,632,104

Pretty great numbers for Dunkirk but I guess that was expected here due it being a big event in British history, looks set to be a big box office smash though as it's up to $131 million worldwide already.

Only a 20% drop for Despicable Me 3 too which is amazing, making it the third highest grossing movie in the UK for the entirety of 2017 in just four weeks (behind only Beauty and the Beast and GOTG Vol. 2).
