Oh yeah, she's come leaps and bounds in the past week. This performance was much better to me and I find it surprising that it was scored only two points higher overall than the previous, even with the illegal lift. There are a lot of YouTube comments about AJ and how he needs to reel it in a little bit and I agree. He's obviously a very talented dancer and a potentially very solid partner, but he comes off a little too...showy?

Much better dance from Mollie this week. Bless her keeping up the Tango face for that 1 minute 30 seconds she did well! She really conveyed the mood and fiery element of the Tango well!

I think Aston's going to struggle from peaking too early if I'm being honest, that's what helped Caroline in my honest opinion! As long as Mollie makes the semi finals tbh.

After this weekend, I wouldn't entirely rule out Jonnie Peacock getting to the later stages going on how brilliant his Jive was. I think the standard is so high amongst everyone that it's not like say, when Ore Oduba did it last year and from when he did his American smooth and Jive he was the one to beat. Everyone's growing so much even after just two weeks so it's almost too impossible to call who will end up going the whole hog and winning it.

Yes Jonnie could 100% steal the "journey" agenda from Mollie...and quite frankly, it would probably be much better for him, considering his background.

That being said, I could still see him being in a bottom 2 with a contender, and thus getting eliminated. If he does and Mollie's still in, she can work the journey angle as Aston, Alexandra and Debbie have all peaked a bit too soon to go for that angle.

 

Shirley (head judge, and thus final vote) seems to think Mollie has got PLENTY of potential she can tap into, so if Mollie ever finds herself in the bottom 2 against the likes of Davood, Gemma and Joe, I can definitely picture Shirley saving Mollie over them. Now, obviously, against a contender (especially someone like Alexandra), there's no competition...

Mollie did amazingly well today. Sadly she was like 3rd to go, and the scores got a lot more "gentle" by the end of the show as they usually always do for the decent-to-good dancers (as long as you don't make too many mistakes), so found herself on the 5th place, but that's very good. She's slowly raising up.

 

Totaly forgot to mention it, but there are also no ties in the leaderboard this week, meaning Mollie's pretty much safe as I can't see the people on the bottom of the leaderboard managing enough votes to put themselves above her. :cheer:

Sadly no, I would say this is actually one of the strongest line-up, potential-wise.

 

Debbie, Alexandra, Aston are all extremely good, and very early on. People like Joe, Davood and Gemma can all give Mollie a run for her money, even if I believe that on a pure technical point, she's above all of those (and WAS better than those on Saturday night, but she was undermarked).

Jonnie is a paraolympic athlete that is truly learning to dance so he can snatch a beautiful "journey" story.

Hopefully people vote for Mollie and keep her through long enough so a few of those get eliminated and she snatches their votes.
