That's exactly my point ... you're saying it's cheap and tacky of her to save this kid ... but if she'd swept in there saving communities do you really think everyone would be like "ooh well done Madonna, look at her doing all that good"? i really don't think so ... i think if she had saved a whole community people would see it as an even BIGGER stunt! It's not an issue that huuugely bothers me, but it seems to me that whatever she does, SOMEONE is going to b**ch at her SOMEWHERE ... so for her the smart option is really to do nothing at all ... in which case i'd be the one bitching because she should be doing something :lol:

October 26, 200618 yr If Bill Gates gives $1bn to AIDS research or whatever people say "is that all ? he is worth $70bn" etc without realising what help $1bn can actually do, its the same with Madonna, it may be "only £1m" in relation to her actual personal wealth but it will still go a long way towards saving lives

And how is replacing one set of religious dogmas (Catholic) with another (Kabballa) fundamentally going to stop the problem...? And I still feel that Madonna picking to healthy kid as opposed to a kid with AIDS to adopt has a bit of a nasty taste to it....
