I sorta had the feeling this would happen, as 'Last Year' is doing so badly in the midweeks they can't release the album off the back of that as it would flop.

 

So, all is well if in February Lucie releases the album from a stronger single and the album can get off to a good start. :D

 

I am kinda sad that 'Last Year' is doing badly, although I don't like the song, I think Lucie is a great talent and it's a shame to see her do badly. :(

How is she doing in the midweeks? Does anybody know?

Mercury never even got a demo of Song For Sam and that was Lucie's decision not to send it for reasons beyond her own control...

Well, when we talked about it in September she told me she was recording the studio version at the time and it would be used as a b-side!

 

So you don't know everything! :P

Yes it has been recorded I know that but I'm saying to you that the studio version was never even submitted to Mercury for album consideration whilst you continue to tell us it should have been on there.

 

And quite frankly Daz I think some of us know more about the Song For Sam situation that you. No one knows everything I'm just saying what I have been told and there's no need to be continually rude about this subject.

 

Anyway it doesn't matter at the end of the day, it won't be on any album so there's no point even bringing it up...

Still have only heard Last Year so it's all rather exciting.

Why dont we forget Song For Sam was even real, just something we heard in a dream one day. I would of thort you'd learnt your lesson about this, Daz.

On amazon it says its being released on 26th February...thats ages and ages away :(

I dont care about it more than they do. I just dont see why this one song is so important, there were 35 done for that album, so i dont know why it needs to be mentioned. And in Lucie's own words, The Same Side is something that is completely her, she is very very proud of the album, no matter what people think about it. Song For Sam isn't on TSS for personal reasons that she doesnt wish to discuss with anyone, nor should she have to.

 

Im not arguing with you Dazzle, so dont try and be off with me. I had enough personal attacks last time this happend, i was mortified at some of the stuff a particular forum member was telling me, obviously not you, but can we please just be nice to one another :) Apparently im a selfish ****ing b**ch who everyone hates and no one can stand to be around me and the fact that this particular person has breathed the same air as me and talked to me makes them feel physically sick, why dont i just go and die somewhere and never come back again because Lucie, Mia, all of the band and all of the fans hate me...beautiful :) i have nightmares now!

I just said regarding this matter - I don't care if I'm the most hated Lucie fan in the world. At the end of the day, I'm a fan cos I love her music. Obviously I'm so appreciative of all the amazing friends I've made through her music, but its the music that keeps me in the community - not the people!
