It's not .. it's about when Lucie got her first record contract but then got dropped, and then re-signing with Mercury ... it's about how she felt when she was uncertain about the future, and her worries, and then the confidence she feels for the future.

 

It's generally a song of determination and accepting the knock backs in life.

 

Although, I guess it can be adapted to lots of situations ... any time someone is scared of something in the future, the song will help them put it in perspective and hopefully give them the courage to go for whatever they want. If that's coming out, then so be it!

This song has helped me so much at many points in my life. :)

Like Andrew said, it's basically about the struggle she faced after the EMI deal went t*ts up, and how she never stopped believing.

 

I find this song so inspirational. I always play it before job interviews and exams! :D

 

I did have a go at her a couple of weeks ago cos she's stopped singing it in her live sets! :P
