Posted September 13, 20177 yr It's perhaps clear that with three collaborations in quick succession, preceded by a year and a half of near omnipresence, that new single Friends hasn't fared as well as you'd expect a new Justin single to. This could be down to overkill, as nobody's had much of a chance to crave new Justin yet. So my question is... when would the right time be for Justin to release album 4? Personally I think Q4 next year could be good, with a single late summer a la What Do You Mean?'s release. No collaborations in the mean time, just a bit of time out so people can crave new Justin material. Then he can return with a smash hit and maybe a VMAs performance!
September 13, 20177 yr Friends was unlucky as it got released in to a very crowded market. I feel he could come back with a huge song right now and everyone would go crazy for it. I think he will release Q2 2018 personally.
September 13, 20177 yr Bieber tends to give us a grace period lasting a couple months between huge eras; Purpose era ending around March and then the Major Lazer/DJ Snake collabs five months after. Then a break and the Despacito remix released around 6-7 months after LMLY peaked. I say he'll wait for Friends to peak and then go dark, then come back with something giant around late May, album release around late October.
