Posted September 30, 20177 yr https://www.instagram.com/p/BZoH1hBnVOu/?taken-by=unahealy unahealy: In the studio today working on some new music with these guys @jakecartermusic @davearkins 🙌🏻 Whether this is Una working with them on their material or them for hers, I thought this would be worthy of it's own thread. A brief Google search indicates Dave Arkins is a producer so more than likely is for Una's work. Edited October 27, 20177 yr by SeanmanjiGrey
October 1, 20177 yr OOOO - I hope it's something a little stronger than the album tho, gotta say I was pretty disappointed with it.
October 2, 20177 yr I agree. The album was nice but it was a bit country by numbers. She needs something that packs a little more punch.
October 28, 20177 yr I'm just hoping it's produced better this time around? I can't explain it. It's not really that her first album had necessary a "cheap sound" to it, but more of a ... "live authentic" sound, and while I can understand why, you know, she digs that, I just think even country music can be expensively produced, you know what I mean?

It's a lovely album but when I look at other country artists like Hunter Hayes, Ward Thomas, etc, there is definitely a variation of sound and approach whereas I feel other than the big tracks Battlelines, Stay My Love, The Waiting Game, Staring at the Moon, the rest were quite samey until you really made an effort to distinguish tracks apart.
October 28, 20177 yr Una has confirmed on her Instagram story she’s working on album two! :o Hooray! :yahoo:
October 28, 20177 yr Still waiting for her to get bored of country and give us an Alias produced album. It will never happen.
November 14, 20177 yr Author Zach!!!!! She’s been with Rachel Furner today who wrote on TWG on Staring at the moon & Grow Up not Old! Another folk guitar ode about Aoife-Belle please!
January 14, 20187 yr Author Una has been songwriting with Jimmy Sims (MIKA, Amy MacDonald, Pete Doherty and The Saturdays) and Ben Parker. I'm guessing by now shes got a couple of songs to go so I wouldn't be surprised if she released an EP of these + Incase You Didn't Know to hold us over?
March 10, 20187 yr Author If what Una apparently said at her Belfast show is true, then we can expect this hopefully in the summer! :o
March 11, 20187 yr Her single is coming on the 30th March and she told the crowd at her show that it’s a “feisty upbeat banger” according to Twitter.
March 11, 20187 yr Her single is coming on the 30th March and she told the crowd at her show that it’s a “feisty upbeat banger” according to Twitter. I'll believe it when I hear it.
March 13, 20187 yr I don’t think she’d not be telling the truth tbh. I don't doubt she is, I'm just curious to here what Una' s idea of a first banger is, whether it's going to be countrified or Xenomania-esque, or I am imagining Sia tees, I'm very curious!
March 13, 20187 yr Author I think something along the lines of "Battlelines" or even Hunter Hayes' "I Want Crazy", which don't scream banger but have catchy riffs.
March 25, 20187 yr Author Una performing Last Call https://twitter.com/twitter/statuses/972527991803863041 Great to see her going back to Sats material
