Today marks 35 years since 'Everybody' was released - Madonna's first ever song to be officially released! :cheer:

Wow 35 years .

I wonder what this could have done if released in the UK ?

I'd love her to do this live again on tour .

It really bugs me that this song is included on the Celebration collection over way superior tracks (that and Lucky Star) :puke2:
The song itself is pretty awful tbh but it is so weird to think it is 35 years since she first arrived on the scene. Wow.

This past year, 'Everybody' has really shone for me. The hooks are so catchy and I adore the production; I can really picture Madonna singing this in small nightclubs and working the crowd. Those hooks and the idea of escapism in music are two themes that have popped up time and time again in Madonna's discography and, with the exception of 'Turn Up the Music', they're always a triumph.

Stuart Price's remix of 'Everybody' is, as ever, is incredible. He really has the midas touch! Madonna's performance in 2005 is great; I love that cheesy 80s dance routine; she really embraces the fun of it all. That last minute where she dances and gets the crowd to chant makes me smile so much.

I'm surprised this was never released in the 80s/early 90s when several of her other singles got re-releases. I'm also surprised it appeared in neither her Top 40 most downloaded nor most streamed songs; it feels more well-known than that would suggest.
