Kylie reunites with Stock, Aitken, Waterman

Thursday, October 19 2006, 14:19 BST - by Ben Rawson-Jones

Kylie Minogue is to reunite with her former producers Stock, Aitken and Waterman, according to the Daily Mail.

A source told the paper: "Those guys made her a hit 20 years ago so she has decided to return there because she knows they are good. The songwriting team behind the trio made her pop career when she was a teenager so she reckons they are just right for her comeback."

The record will be Minogue's first since being diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005. Her original partnership with Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman heralded several number one singles in the late 1980s, including 'I Should Be So Lucky', 'Hand On Your Heart' and 'Especially For You' with Jason Donovan.

Are any of you "shocked to your very foundations" by this news?

Hmmmm interesting.

I'm actually pleased with this news.

I'm glad she's sticking to her uptempo pop roots. It will be interesting to hear what the new S/A/W sound is like.

i cant see this been true im sure she will stay with parlophone look at the success she has had with them its just as successfull if not more than s a w,maybe they are doing a track together or somthing but i really couldnt see kylie parting with parlophone myself
They are saying she may work on a song or 2. Not leaving the record compnay tank god

THATS A RELIEF i did like so much of her work she did with them but things have changed since plus who knows what s a w will be like this time round they have to prove themselves yet,

however its really looking good for a genuine top class new pop album from kylie

Hopefully none of her work with Waterman will have nothing to do with her single release... that's awful step backward...

I hope this is not true. I like Kylie trying new things - it's when she makes the albums I like most.

I don't want her going back to S.A.W. and recording something of the same quality as 'Sacred Trust'

I agree she would be going backwards, for a comeback you've got to go forwards.
one track will be interesting if they do one track for the new album id be interested to see what direction they would go and what style saw are working on now
