RTCG has announced that a national final will be used to select the 2018 representative for Montenegro.

Submissions for interested artists and songwriters to apply will be open from 1st November. A special jury will then choose the best five to proceed to Montevizija. The winner will be selected by televote alone. Montevizija was last used in 2007 and 2008 and ever since Montenegro have opted for internal selections. Therefore, 2018 will be the first time in a decade that the Montenegrin public get to pick their entry! The show will be held in February and RTCG, the national broadcaster, will reveal more details soon.

I think this sounds very exciting as best case scenario, we end up with FIVE ridiculous songs like "Space" rather than just the one <3

YAY for more national finals, there's never enough in my opinion. And a plus that it's 100% televoting, so no chance for the juries to ruin it!

Potential Winners?
Your guess is as good as mine! We still only have 20 second snippets of each entry and the only betting site offering odds have all the songs at the same price.
We sometimes get a great entry ("Adio", "Igranka") so let's hope for another one this year. I'd like to see them in the final.
Vanja, Katarina and Lorena advanced to the superfinal - I have just turned on though I have no idea what's going on, or whether they've performed again yet!
I think Vanja Radovanovic just won with "Inje" which apparently translates as 'hoarfrost' whatever that is?!

What kind of Lidl Balkan ballad is this?

There's always next year Montenegro x

Pretty - but certainly not a word I've ever heard in English before!

The song kind of went nowhere, I was hoping for a soaring Balkan anthem like "Adio"

it's just you guys don't have this kind of cold in the UK :')

This is MUCH better than what we'd had. It now gives me "Lejla" vibes although not with that level of quality.
