Britney Spears is set to follow in her idol Madonna's footsteps and adopt an African child, it has been reported.

 

The 'Toxic' singer - who has two sons, Sean Preston and Sutton Pierce, with husband Kevin Federline - has been inspired by Madonna's recent trip to Malawi to adopt a 13-month-old African boy, called David Banda.

Britney is now looking into the possibility of welcoming a disadvantaged child into her own family.

 

A source said: "Britney has always been inspired by Madonna - both musically and by the way she lives her life and conducts herself.

 

"She really admires what Madonna is doing at the moment and adopting is something which she could see herself doing one day. She wants to have a large family."

 

Madonna is the latest in a long line of stars to adopt. Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman and her ex-husband Tom Cruise, Sharon Stone, Calista Flockhart and Meg Ryan have all adopted children.

It probably is! I wouldn't want this to be true cause the press would kill her if it was.

I really want this to be a lie :( For a start she already has two babies, and she can still have another 10 if she wanted to - unlike Madonna. Plus, Madonna 's decision to adopt hasn't exactly reflected well on her has it?

I really hope this is not true. She already has 2 children. She wants her career back and this will def not help.
