With all due respect though I have seen very few people actually defending Ann and what shes done unless I just have the right people on Twitter? Finding her barking like a dog amusing doesn't equal stanning her and wanting her to win. I find her little Vine like funny moments hilarious but I'd have probably anyone in there to win over her even Shane L who has done nothing and would be a hideously dull winner.

We’re always going to get people who share the same views Ann, so I just look past that and see how they are as a person.. and in this case I think she is a funny lady

It's those vine like moments that are surely making her the favourite to win though? Coz I see literally no other redeeming factor for her.

P.s. I know where you stand with this as we've had this convo in the FB chat so I'm not attacking you haha (I've found her amusing once or twice) but the general feel I get is that she's "iconic" basically for being a miserable, bitter old mare with the odd amusing moment. It's frustrating haha.

I'd have loved to have seen Amanda get in the hot tub with the others tonight and let her hair down more. I feel Ann holds her back. But Amanda is amaze and such a lovely woman who deserves to win.
Yeah "iconic" is certainly the wrong word. I think if anything it shows how this series has had a lack of standout contenders or characters that "we haven't been able to wash, we have't been able to clean our teeth, bully bully bully" is making someone a fave to win

You're a joke. We have to accept people's homophobic views?! Are you serious?!

I wish we had at least a week without Ann to see the effect she has over the entire house. I do feel as though she’s holding everyone back, as she eye rolls at any moment of fun. She always wants to let everyone know where she doesn’t like something (and that is a LOT of things). She’s also very very sly which is how she gets away with her homophobia.
As much as I love Ann, I would also love to have a week without her to see how things would change. That’s never gonna happen tho as the UK keeps voting for her to stay.

Not Ann trying o act like queen of compassion because she understands Jess doesn't like cotton wool balls, if only you'd had compassion for the homosexual community you constantly voted to oppress hun
You should be aware of how that is xo
Confusing how Amanda is so far up Ann’s arse

Babe, you should know.

Really lost a lot of respect for Wayne & Amanda there, they should have backed it up. It's their own rights for f***s sake! They are all so eager to have Ann like her, why?! Why would you want someone like her to like you and validate you?! So strange.

Malika and Shane J seem to be the only ones in there who don't look to seek her approval.

I don't really know why they all had to jump on Shane J, like usually if they see someone is popular they all go right up their arse (and he won the vote obviously)

Seeing a lot of hate on Twitter for Shane J and how he's apparently trying to turn the house on Ann :manson: Not watched it yet.

For once, I'm seeing the opposite!

I'm sure Facebook would be another story however.

I found the final scene of Ann and Amanda high-fiving each other rather unpleasant, as though they had just won some sort of sports event.

I kind of get what Amanda is saying about not liking the bitching, becasue both Andrew and Shane J did a lot of that and never really confronted Ann as much as they should - perhaps things would be different if they did. Although it's far from just them, practically the entire cast have just let Ann suck the fun out of their whole run and really they are grown adults and can surely stand up to her? There is no sense in just letting her walk all over you because she's a little old lady who won't change her mind.

I think with Amanda and Ann's friendship, it's probably quite a unique situation you can't quite grasp unless you're in it, but I don't have any respect for her totally ignoring the rights of others "oh it doesn't matter as I'm married" yes and that's no thanks to Ann Widdecombe  Just because everything is peachy in your life doesn't mean it is in every other context... I'd also be very apprehensive to even give Ann Widdecombe a chance to be my friend if she opposed me having basic rights and thought who I am attracted to is disgusting. In sort of general terms I gt looking past opinions and at the person, but I mean that's like "my friend likes shit music but I still love him", I don't think it's valid to say that when someone opposes your basic rights and the bare bones of who you are. It's letting someone walk all over you if you don't stand up for that.
