It'd have to be good if it were something he hadn't already decided on. The album is quite a way away still.

The waiting's interminable but illogically, I still want him to leave the studio and do other things, which inevitably means he'd have to delay the album and I'd have to wait longer. How mixed up is that?
I suppose, in a way I do have my cake and eat it - it just mporphs in to a few extra pounds.

There is a documentary on Pakistan tonite being presented by one of the losers from the original apprentice. I did think she would get into tv, she has the gift of the gab etc etc but I was thinking why cant D do a presentation job on a documentary he did such a good job on his dvd about Glasgow etc.etc and it would be a different challenge.I really thought during the last six years that he would be asked because he is a natural at presenting.

Yes he would make a great presenter but is that really what you want him to do.

I love seeing him on TV but he belongs on a stage.....singing his own songs.....or my front room...or back...or garden...not that fussy :naughty:

Im glad we think he belongs on stage - quote from latest chicago kelly osborne thread Wos -

They had been talking about Peter Andre as Billy but they forgot the idea because he had a too big "entourage". It would have been over crowded in his small dressing room.

I was there when Darius came back and I am sorry to say that the only thing is good at is signing authograph to his lady fans. this was posted by kelly, seems to ring a bell.

I still like it best when he sings. I could happily watch him a play or two but, I'd feel he was wasted just presenting other people doing things.

Perhaps you are right but Baytree did say if he was going to do something whilst awaiting the album she would like it to be something different and that was the best I could come up with because he is good at it. The only comment I would make about kelly osborne and chicago is that if he were to be billy flynn and she transferred to broadway, maybe just maybe!!!

It's Saira Khan, the loudmouth from the first apprentice. She's done quite a lot of TV work since.

You're right, Preston, Darius could do that kind of thing easily and I think he would get plenty of opportunities of all kinds if he wasn't living halfway across the world.

Whether he would accept any is a different matter. We don't know what he's been offered and turned down unless he happens to let it slip later in conversation.

I think his heart is still in performing on stage.

If Darius stopped singing his own music, I think I'd probably drift back to listening mainly to classical music.

In truth, apart from Darius, it's already started to happen.

I don't know any of the songs in the top 40. I always listen to links when they're first posted but none of them struck enough of a chord for me tobe interested in their progress. I don't listen to radio and I don't watch the music video channels and other than a couple of soaps the Tv programmes I watch tend to be dramas, films, current affairs and so on and don't have music guests.

Apart from Darren Hayes and KT Tunstall, I can't think of any forthcoming album I'm looking forward to hearing. I'm also waiting to find out which song Gareth is going to release. I hope it's Lost In You because I think it's catchy enough to be much more radio friendly than either Changes or Angel On My Shoulder. Other than that, I don't really care.

It's funny, it seems to go in cycles. There's sometimes loadfs I like and other times. there's very little. It has saved me so much money not listening to radio as I no longer hear as many things and so don't buy that many.
It's as well I don't have an ipod because that would show me how little of my music collection I ever bother to listen to.
The only albums I've bought this year are the Amy Winehouse and Gwen Stefani. Usually it's a minimum of 2 a month. I wont listen to radio that wont play D, so I don't get the smae ide of an artist anymore. I'm still dithering about Gareths. It's not really my kind of music but I'd like him to do OK
I have given up on music to be honest, none appeals to me - there are songs that are ok, but most annoy me, Amy Whinehouse's Black to Black single is ok, but I am fed up of hearing her, all the rest is just so samey I am totally fed up with the exentuated regional accent indy band - they are all sounding the same now. and lilly allen, Kate nash clones all over, I must be getting old..as I find I am sick of whining lyrics all sounding like a Katherine Tate character and as for the rap r&B, I really don't like it - I generally have the radio turned off these days as I feel I am in groundhog day whenever I turn it on as their playlists are so short and the same. its just got so boring.
