January 5, 200718 yr Thought I would bump this thread as The Fray are gearing up to release here in the UK this year. After hearing the gorgeous 'How To Save A Life' last October amongst other songs they are one of my tips for big things this year. The song is already huge in America - making the top 10 and is getting huge support from Radio 1 in the UK. Â [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWtdM3quE7U.swf
January 5, 200718 yr Really liking this at the moment. :D Â I downloaded How To Save A Life today. ^_^ And I might consider buying their album if I see it any time soon. ^_^ Â Does anyone know when this is gonna be released? I'm sure I heard Sara Cox mention March, but i'm not sure.
January 5, 200718 yr I'm positive she said March :o I was just very shocked they played it tbh. I can see it having the same impact as 'Chasing Cars'. I was reminded of it when I first heard it. I read on the release schedule its due for April so who knows.Â

I read on the release schedule its due for April so who knows.  Yeah i'm pretty sure she said March as well. ^_^ Either way March or April seems a decent enough time to release this. It does have a feel to Chasing Cars and it also has a feel to an All American Rejects track I heard a while back that was all over B4 but it never made it big. Either way I hope this is big but I guess it could go either way either that its massive or its a flop.
January 5, 200718 yr I think the AAR track you mean is 'It Ends Tonight'. Another fab underated band :( The Fray could go like that I suppose just have to wait and see. I've already heard 'How To Save A Life' used on an advert for Living TV

I've already heard 'How To Save A Life' used on an advert for Living TV  Â Ah yeah thats the track I was thinking of. Â AAR are pretty big in America but not so big over here and The Fray are pretty big in the US as well so I guess your right in the fact that How To Save A Life could end up flopping. :( Â It was used for Gray's Anatomey (sp?) which airs on Living TV I think. :P Thats how How To Save A Life got pretty big over in the US a bit like how Chasing Cars got so big in the UK after been used for the end of Big Brother.
January 5, 200718 yr Funnily enough Grey's Anatomy also used 'Chasing Cars'. NMot sure if it did in the show but it did in an advert for it on Living  Yes I watch Living TV a lot its mainly for Charmed though I swear :kink:
January 7, 200718 yr They're album is been re-released in Britian at the end of this month with a bouns DVD as well apparently. :o
January 7, 200718 yr ooooh I will buy. BUT I guess if R1 keep supporting it and stuff the new rule means it could enter the charts anytime. [the single I mean].
January 7, 200718 yr ooooh I will buy. BUT I guess if R1 keep supporting it and stuff the new rule means it could enter the charts anytime. [the single I mean].  I was in HMV yesterday and I was looking for the album and cos it was not in the chart it was £13 so I felt it as I need to save at the moment but yeah £9 on Play with the CD/DVD so I think I may buy it. ^_^  Well I hope it does enter soon. This is the sort of track that I can see doing really well over here if it got the right airplay and everything and if Radio 1 got behind it which it looks like they are, they only problem is I can maybe see them becoming one hit wonders. :(
January 7, 200718 yr Apparently 'How To Save A Life' was on Scrubs the other day on E4? I didn't watch it, but my sister told me the name of the song playing in the background of a really sad scene and said it sounded a bit like Snow Patrol - so I assumed it was this. How much promo did it have in USA exactly? :o Two of their biggest shows used it in their soundtrack for a start -_-
January 7, 200718 yr I'm not entirely sure tbh. But the album and single are doing huge things in the US atm - one of the biggest downloads at the minute Sarah Cox said - I dunno I didn't hear all of what she said as I was in the car.

Then Radio started picking it up and then everything went on from there. Sara Cox said that The Fray's myspace was the most viewed myspace of 2006 and it also had the most plays on myspace as well (for How ToSave A Life) or something like that.
January 16, 200718 yr How To Save A Life is no.31 on ITunes now and it's not due to be released until 26th March :o In Over My Head is brilliant also so that should stop them being a one-hit wonder They remind me of Nickelback but better, so it would be cool if their album was as big here as Silver Side Up How To Save A Life: yWtdM3quE7U Edited January 16, 200718 yr by blade699
January 16, 200718 yr They are far superior and sound way better than Nickelback ever could :P I think this is fab - top 75 on downloads alone and not due out until March
