Which of these two great pop rock albums do you prefer?

the XX for me, although I also like ALT J's debut

but the XX albums has some true classics like VCR and Islands

and Intro, best instrumental song ever

 

interesting that imo the XX still make great music, love both album 2 and 3, while Alt J really peaked with album 1,

album 2 was bearable but album 3 is a huge huge huge disappointment

Gotta lean to The xx for this one, just consistently better songs on that one. I feel if we were looking at sophomores, The xx stagnated a bit while alt-J got a bit more interesting so I'd switch to them. Haven't listened enough to the new albums to compare those.
