Do you, or have you ever bought the Big Issue magazine. Does it help the homeless get on in life or not. Do the vendors spend the money wisely on food and finding a home, or do you think the spend it in the pub, on ciggies or drugs.

Is it a good read and worth the £1.40 price. Sellers keep 80p per copy. More and more celebrities are contributing to articles. So would you rather buy the Big Issue or OK magazine or Hello.

No one tells me what to do with my money and how to spend it so what a homeless guy does with his money is his business not mine

usually there are loads of people selling big issue in stoke and when pink was in it i went out especially to buy a copy and there was none of them anywhere!!!

dont think i'd ever buy one unless there was someone who i liked on the cover

and i'd never buy one from the people who shove it in ur face, when i went see simple plan in manchester earlyer on in the year there was one guy tryin sell them and if someone said no then he'd ask for spare change and he kept going up and down the que until we all went in!

Eugh I hate it when they ask for spare change. I always feel so guilty so give em 20p pr something. :( Then feel like a fool for giving them anything.

I feel well sorry for them. There's this one woman who stands outside the shopping centre all day every Saturday. I don't buy the magazines because I can't really afford them myself, I need the money. I don't read magazines anyways. What's in the Big Issue? My mum always buys them purely to help the seller out.

you shouldnt, homeless people are fools and they only spend it on food and drink.

i woud never give to a homeless person, i ned my money for better things like tins of custard and bags of ice cubes

no i will neva buy the big issue, my local seller, suddenly appeared with a dog to make evryone feel sorry for the dog! and then i saw him later on in the day in the pub!

theres a guy round here whos sposed be homeless who sits outside with a dog askin for spare change and hes aparently got a really nice house lol

we've been talking about the big issue on school,

apparntly it's to do with thingys like politics, wars (like the war in iraq) etc.

Homeless/People who live on the streets, sell it and they are aloud to keep some of the money to spend.

never brought it and dont want to, you cant trust any old person out on the streets, they might just be dossing about for money so they can go and get drugs, fags, etc.

Likewise though we are paying taxes to keep unemployed people in benefits many of whom might spend the benefit on booze and drugs and fags and no one complains about that
