So - the Sunday night was the final night for Robbie and I remember the gig was broadcast live on Radio One was it? I listened.

for a lot of people it's known because it's the night Mark Owen joined Robbie on stage for a version of BFG. The first time they had been on stage together since Robbie left TT in 1995.

I remember that, Robbie had been dancing on his head by all accounts :P . It was a lovely surprise though , Mark I think is a bit of a peacemaker I think . He needs to do some peacemaking on the Jonny front , it was his birthday this week :(

Yes he does :(

Are you ready for a listen Tess?

See if Robbie can whistle in tune? :P

I love the way he brings the crowd in at the end, reminding them that he has not forgotten them. It's hard to keep peoples attention singing a song like that but his story telling skills do the job for him. Most artists i guess would not dream of singing a song like that at a place like Knebworth

I love this -

I can see you, I can feel you all.

Amazing. Max Beesley brilliant too.

I think this will always be my favourite swing song that Robbie has recorded.

I know - that's true - it's hard to make a song seem intimate in front of such a huge crowd but he manages to do it. That was class.

Listening to it again, I actually liked it more than I thought I would, great storytelling once again ...

He takes on the persona of the man he's singing about.

I think this couple were there on the Saturday night - when he gave her his jacket.

When being married ten years was something for other people - not him.

This was next.

I think this always goes down well live. I've heard him sing it many times and it always seems to connect.

Absolutely , I agree

Everything about those gigs were spot on , I wonder if they rehearsed for long, the whole show was very slick & the musicians were equally up for it ..amazing :music:
