Starting on Boxing Day will be the first of the 10th Anniversary contests. First up, if you couldn't already tell is Andra Chansen!

 

 

 

Andra Chansen translates as "second chance" and that's what we're giving everyone. This contest is about digging through the archives and sending a song that you think deserves a second chance at success! Doesn't have to be one of your own entires, that's what YBO is for, and it can't be anything that was a 'hit' in it's original contest or ended up in TBO (inc. Rejects). A chance to dig out those classic "wrong semi" DNQs or songs you feel were hard done by at the time

 

Stay peeled for confirmations dropping on the 26th but in the mean time, the BJSC mods would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas!!

I am going to scour the archives for something criminally underrated that I could never give its proper dues and I'm sure there's a load of those to choose from.

Well THIS should be interesting!

 

Not really expecting anything of my entries on this one, the only song I can think of that I thought everyone did dirty would be "You Settle Me". That said, there were a LOT of songs in the ones I've been in that I thought people did dirty so... will think about this.

5 Fine Frokner made it to the TBO semis, didn't it? It would be ineligible if so.

I think 'Blood In Blood Out' sticks out as my most underrated entry that wasn't a DNQ/in a Rejects final so that's an option if I was to go for myself. Shall scour through some underrated gems courtesy of other countries before coming to a conclusion though, this should be fun ~

Yes, top half = hit in standard BJSC terms.

Hmm, I think I'll go for someone else's but i'd have to have a proper look, I've got some old flops that might do better now I could go for.

besides i'm pretty sure there are other Ashtonise entries that Silas has raged about before that would need it more than 5FF

I will not be entering anything Ashtonise. Everything I think was robbed of a rightful victory was a 'hit' so isn't eligible! Aside from I Like That come to think of it.

Actually yeah I will go for a non-Persephonia entry (I have a couple of good ideas already). I know which of my old flops I'll be wheeling out if and when there is a YBO II though. xx

I have looked back through my EOY countdowns from the past couple of years and I have had SO many floppy faves, so I have also decided that I'll be avoiding anything of my own and attempt to give one of these justice.

So we send ANY dnq, of ours or anyone else's??

Anything that didn't finish top half in it's contest or make TBO or TBO Rejects is eligible to be sent. It also doesn't have to be your own entry and I'd encourage that it isnt!

Could an updated list of TBO finalists be posted somewhere so we know which are ineligible? X

Hmm, I had an idea of sending someone else's entry that should have done well in rejects but I see they have mentioned it in this thread so they might be thinking of sending it might have to re-think if so :lol:

Okay I’m definitely sending someone else’s. Some of my favorite songs of all time flopped in BJSC and they need the respect they deserve :drama:
