Thepchaiya Un-Nooh made only the third 147 of the season in his opening frame at the English Open.

John Higgins has said that he has lost his appetite for snooker after finishing runner-up in the last two World Championships.

 

I'm struggling to get up for playing and practicing. I've lost in two big world finals in the last two years and it's knocked the stuffing out of me a little bit

 

 

And a day later Ronnie O'Sullivan hit his 15th career maximum 147 break at the English Open, meaning that he'll share the highest break prize with Un-Nooh.

Former world champions John Higgins and Neil Robertson and world number five Judd Trump were all knocked out in the fourth round of the English Open, with world champion Mark Williams, 2005 World Champ Shaun Murphy and Barry Hawkins out in the third round.

 

 

Stuart Bingham and Mark Davis are the first two players through to the semi finals of the English Open. Stuart with a 5-2 win over Ali Carter whilst Mark Davis defeated Ryan Day 5-1.

 

Delighted for Mark Davis. 27 years a pro and finally reached his first ranking final.

Congrats to Stuart but I would have liked Mark Davis to win. Hope he gets another chance soon.

Barry Hawkins defeats Mark Williams 3-2 to win the one-day Macau Masters Individual title. The event was a unique format, with a gauntlet style draw and apparently played with 6 Reds.

Another great result for Jack Lisowski this time beating Judd Trump 6-2. Mark Allen also into the semi finals as he beat Ali Carter 6-0 in the International Championship which is taking place in China.

Matthew Stevens is into his first ranking semi final for over 5 years after beating Martin O’Donnell 6-5! He’ll play Mark Allen tomorrow in the International Championship. Other semi will be Neil Robertson v Jack Lisowski.

Wonder if this'll earn him enough points to make top 16?

In the provisional rankings, currently he is 17th just outside the Top16. Another strong run in the Northern Ireland Open & UK Championship and he could be in the Masters for the first time.
