January 22, 20187 yr Author The songs aren't available for our listening pleasure until 5th February, five days before the final takes place, but here are the names of the ten acts and songs that will be battling it out Ditte Marie – Riot Anna Ritsmar – Starlight Rasmussen – Higher Ground Sannie – Boys and Girls Sandra – Angels to my Battlefield Lasse Meling – Unfound Carlsen – Standing Up For Love KARUI – Signals Rikke Ganer-Tolsøe – Holder Fast i Ingenting Albin Fredy – Music For The Road Sannie is Whigfield of "Saturday Night" fame
January 22, 20187 yr Whigfield *.* She had an amazing album a few years ago, 4Ever and As I Go are both such good tracks. The stuff she's done as Sannie has been way more minimal and house-influenced so I'm not as excited as I should be, but hopefully it has some pop sensibilities.
January 22, 20187 yr Also Ditte Marie is back after the life giving ‘Overflow’ from 2012 - let’s hope they stack the jury with gays like they did last year so they can give her the upper hand!
February 5, 20187 yr Author 30 second clips are easily available by following this link, full versions have been released (I managed to hear all ten via a Google Drive folder last night) but are currently geoblocked. Ditte has delivered a banger but a lot of the hype I'm seeing appears to be around "Higher Ground" (it's from the team behind Timoteij's "Kom")
February 9, 20187 yr TOMORROW'S NATIONAL FINAL... DENMARK http://i1.wp.com/www.eurovision-austria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/DMGP2016.jpg Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 10th February 2018 Begins at 7pm in the UK or 8pm Central European Time and in Denmark. Programme is scheduled to last 2 hours. Watch the selection via the official DMGP website. Running order Voting format There will be two rounds of voting. Both will be decided by 50% televoting and 50% jury voting. The top 3 songs in the first round will progress to the superfinal. The favourites to win Rasmussen is the favourite with the bookies, closely followed by Anna Ritsmar and CARLSEN. These are also the three songs leading in the poll on DR's website so the other 7 acts will need to pull something spectacular out of the bag if they hope to make it to the superfinal tomorrow night.
February 9, 20187 yr I really like Rikke. Unsurprisingly the favourites to win are beyond shit although Rasmussen is nice and looks like a good chance for Denmark to at least qualify. Will no doubt stand out in the Semifinals.
February 9, 20187 yr Given Denmark haven’t delivered above 1/10 since 2013, I’ve frankly written off Denmark long-term now. If any of the faves win, this trend isn’t gonna change. A shame as “Riot’ is actually alright.
February 10, 20187 yr Given Denmark haven’t delivered above 1/10 since 2013, I’ve frankly written off Denmark long-term now. If any of the faves win, this trend isn’t gonna change. A shame as “Riot’ is actually alright. Um excuse you Anja was a 11/10 moment
February 10, 20187 yr Turned over and greeted by CONCHITA this evening is suddenly not a write off *.*
February 10, 20187 yr well, hopefully Rasmussen wins now given how tragic the rest of the finalists is
February 10, 20187 yr and here they go with the usual "all three can win this!!!!1 all 10 were incredible!!11!"
