Coming in 13th and 12th place respectively is Nintendo's debut portable and home consoles 'Game & Watch' and 'Nintendo Entertainment System'. Game & Watch was released in 1980 by games designer Gunpei Yokoi and was around for a year. It was a console that allowed you to play a series of electronic games exclusive to Nintendo. The games you could play included Vermin, Manhole and Helmet. NES was released a few years later, in 1983 to be precise (this only in Japan to start but was released elsewhere in 85/86/87). The console was an 8-bit game console that allowed you play the games through a controller and console but it had quite blocky graphics that the rest of the consoles had. However, it was a good start for the home consoles that Nintendo could make. Famous games included; Mike Tyson's Punchout, Tetris, Mega Man and was the start of the Super Mario Bros franchise.

80s video games look like real pieces of history now *.* Absolutely awful for games compared to the standards we have now but that's even more retro than trendily retro.
I had the Game & Watch game for Gameboy Advance, was actually quite enjoyable to play!

Up next in the rate, finishing 11th its Wii U, which was hyped by Iz but sadly flopped here. One of the more recent Nintendo releases, the console bears similarities with the first WII but its controllers are different. The controllers are a gamepad which you can control like any other controller but had touchscreen abilities. Famous games that came out on the consoles include; Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros for Wii U and Splatoon. Just coming in at 10 is the original "Gameboy". The original Gameboy is a handheld 8-bit console, combines features from both the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game & Watch. The console first released in 1989 to celebrate Nintendo's 100th anniversary. Since then it was re-designed in two different variations Game Boy Pocket and Game Boy Light and has since brought out many iconic games to the gaming world. Games including three iconic Pokemon games, Pokemon, Blue, Red and Yellow variations, Tetris, The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Super Mario Land.

Surprised the original Game Boy went out so early. I always have such fond memories of playing Pokemon and Kirby!

At the actual 10 (Sorry, I misread it's average yesterday oops) is one of Nintendo's most Critically praised consoles. The Nintendo 64 is named for its 64-bit central processing unit. It stores its games via the use of cartridges and was in fact, the last major home console to use the cartridge as its primary storage format until Nintendo's seventh console, the Nintendo Switch. If it was not for the two -1's I could have seen this higher.

Famous games include: Goldeneye 007, Star Fox 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros. and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
It is utterly SHOCKING that the Nintendo 64 is at #10!!!!!! :o
I was half-hyping the Wii U as a joke but it really isn't that bad, there are some cool improvements on the Wii, I like its dual controller aspect and the games do look rather pretty (obvs).

Finishing in 8th Place is the NES predecessor 'Super Nintendo Entertainment system' or Super NES for short. Released in 1990. The Super NES was a step up from NES because it was a 16-Bit home console while the former was an 8-bit game console. The console had advanced graphics and praised sound qualities. It became a massive success for the company as it was the fastest selling 16-bit console of its era. Popular games from its console include; Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Star Fox, Super-Mario Kart and also Super Metroid.

The newest Nintendo console finishes at 7 possibly due to being new and not many people having it yet. Released worldwide in March 2017, the switch became the 7th major console developed by Nintendo. The console is branded as being both portable and a console you could play at home. Its concept came about due to the previous console, Wii U attributing to a Financial Loss. as well as the mobile gaming industry. Although only recently it has had some well-received games on the console including; The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2.

Just missing out on a top 5 position is one of Nintendo's more recent consoles, Nintendo 3DS. Built with functional stereoscopic 3D graphics/effects without having to use glasses or any other 3D viewing materials. The console had some issues in earlier consoles due to it causing headaches for its players however it was also recieved well from the critics for it's 'natural evolution of the Nintendo DSi system' according to IGN. Famous games from this console include; Pokemon: Sun and Moon, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros 2 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Next, in 5th place is Gameboy Color, which was released in 1998 and is the successor of the Game Boy. Built as a handheld console but with a color screen and a lot more taller and thicker in comparison to Gameboy. The console was discontinued in 2003 with the release of Gameboy Advance. However, it still managed to make an impact in those 5 years with many famous games being released on the console; Pokemon Gold and Silver, Pokemon Pinball, Pokemon Crystal and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages.

GameCube or GBA to win

Realistically I think the Wii has a #1 here though :P
