What's interesting is that Wasabi's back in the Top 5 with a total of 84M streams, we love their most organic "hit". Woman Like Me climbed too.

I think I'm still playing Wasabi more than their most recent singles.

It is just SO GOOD. :music:

I'm just randomly remembering that this album was very nearly called... 'Wine & Make-Up Wipes' :')
Oh god I’m pleased that they went with LM5, that title is worse than Catfights and Spotlights

Having a relisten to this before the album drops, what an album this is! Best girl group album ever for sure!
One of my favourites, for sure! Little Mix - Salute, Girls Aloud - Tangled Up and Spice Girls - Spiceworld are my holy trinity for girl group albums (that I have heard ofc) but this is likely to be very soon after!

On Your Radar is my favourite Sats album! But I like Chasing Lights a lot too.

I think LM5, Glory Days, Sugababes - Change, Saturdays - OYR + Chasing Lights, Spice are next in line.

I really need to check out more 80's/90's girl group albums though.

Sats wise I really think Wordshaker get's dragged too much because it has 3 duds on it but the rest is solid as!

Sugababes - Change

And I always enjoyed Taller In More Ways more than Change, but Change is nice too. :P

Have you heard any of Danity Kane's albums? DK3 is the material I feel Little Mix should be releasing

Lemonade

I'd LOVE for them to do something DK3 style absolutely.

DK I've always meant to check out more of! I shall probably give that a listen soon actually!
This is my favourite album from them in terms of how cohesive it is and just the messages and themes throughout the album . It’s a shame how underrated it is in terms of it’s success as I feel like there was also a few missed singles opportunities ( Wasabi , Strip , Monster In Me , Joan Of Arc , Motivate, The Cure to name a few) but obviously with the whole label drama that happened in between of the whole campaign it was to be expected.

Unfortunately I see the LM5 era as a real low point for them both commercially and sonically. There were no real ‘bops’ on the album besides Forget You Not, Wasabi and Think About Us and I wasn’t a fan of the minimalistic production on tracks like Strip and Told You So. I do appreciate they tried to push a theme of female empowerment and it definitely was a cohesive album that you can tell meant alot to them but it just wasn’t for me.

Woman Like Me was a bizarre choice of lead single (yes I know it was a hit but still) and the performances of it were really underwhelming. The big X Factor return was lip synced and couldn’t compete with their previous lead single performances and then Think About Us was released about six months later with a shit video. There was obviously the label drama, the Cardi and Nicki drama, the constant issues with Jesy on social media, the low sales of the album and then it just stretched into the Bounce Back mess too.

For the first time since they won X Factor I felt a real decline in popularity with them and it was a result of this whole campaign. They are just so much better when they ditch the whole ‘mature, black and white, moody’ vibe and stick to the bangers. I’m not saying they need to release stuff like Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex over and over but Touch, No More Sad Songs, Power and Sweet Melody have proven you can be grown up and still produce a bop.

LM5 is their best album. If it weren't for the label change Wasabi and Monster in Me could have made for an amaaaaazing singles run.

Also think LM5 will mostly remembered for the album when they left Syco not its content unfortunately

It's really bugging me that LM5 is listed twice on their Spotify homepage with different titles but exactly the same tracklist but then have an "LM5 - EP" with the single mixes and remixes?!

Revisiting this for what I think is the first time since release and wow it’s so much better/stronger than I remember.

honestly i think it's a REALLY solid album, i really do think that its lack of commercial success at the time (coming off Glory Days) put stans off which is really sad.

if they chopped off some of the fat (american boy/love a girl right, maybeee notice) it would be absolutely incredible. maybe if they had another upbeat pop song too, but it really was such a solid girl group album and by far the best gg album in a looong while.
