French rapper MHD released the original of 'La Puissance', which translates as 'the power' last year and has been viewed 135m times on YouTube. Last week Major Lazer remixed the song and it is arguably the best thing they have attached themselves to in ages... Been on repeat since I first heard it and 1Xtra added it today to their playlist.

 

I think I prefer this to all the Latin music that has been in the charts, but what does everyone else think?

 

afro-trap is huge in France, i've always thought the likes of Niska, Ninho and Kalash could blow up so it's no surprise that a French rapper is finally getting some support. i'll give this a listen soon, but my personal favourite of the big rap tracks in France rn has got to be 'Mwaka Moon' by Kalash & Damso, what a tune :wub:

 

(also 'Sale' and 'Reseaux' by Niska are tunes, if u like MHD you'll love those two)
