I quite agree, I read a biography about SAW on the internet and Peter Waterman said that Kylie was so naive as a "marketing expert", in order words, she doesn't know what her fans want and just wanna do whatever she wants.

In my opinion, IP is a personal album and the first single is such a wrong choice I have to admit. Did it again should have been the lead single and dream and Cowboy style should have been released properly. Moreover, it's quite hard to tell which of the single should have been released in order to reflect the overall sound of the album because there just isn't one on the album. The whole album lost its style as you listen, sometimes dark disco beat like too far, sometimes pop like Did it again, sometimes a bit rock musical like I don't need anyone and sometimes urban beats like Jump and Through the years. Maybe a better tracklisting should have fixed this problem so that it sounds more "united".

However, I do like the album, my favourite tracks are Jump and Through the years but Drunk should have been dumped into the bin.

i actually agree bout you saying the structure of the album isnt or wasnt right as it really as no set sound,i mean no other track is anything like some kind of bliss, like wise dreams if so differentto tracks like i dont need anyone and again limbo is a very differnttrack again, varied styles but yet no group theme overall
I think she should have got rid of the first part of the album and concentrated on the styles of the second half as I think its a lot stronger

i wouldnt completly agree first half has a few great tracks, but maybe the way the album is is hwy we like it and if it was any other way we wouldnt like it all

I agree, the musical style of I don't need anyone and limbo would make the theme work really well, Jump and through the years would also make excellent sidetracks.

However, with the management like DeCon... it's really destructive. I am glad that Kylie left after the IP era.

Though it can not be proved I seriously doubt she "left" decon. Im as big of a fan as everybody else but Im sure the label were not in a big hurry to release another album with her

we never herad the proper story about how kylie and de construction parted, like you said im sure de con werent to devastated if she left herself as there partnership wasnt successfull, but im sure they werent keen on doing another album but also kylie may not have been keen to wait and do anotheralbum with them also,if they had stayed together any longer kylie's music career would have simply been finished
