I'm completely obsessed with When I Say Goodbye, I think even more than with WYBTFM - and you all know that's my favorite TT song. It's on the same level as Dying Inside, for me - I'm pretty sure When I Say Gbye is related to Gary's dad passing away, based on what he's told us from time to time.

I wish we had the full song and I wish it had been the leading single for Odyssey. I can just picture the live performances - so simple, Gary at the piano, Mark and Howard doing some beautiful harmonies on the chorus....it would have been perfect and breathtaking. OOOH is catchy and fun, but WISG is the type of song with impact on people's emotions....

I guess I'll just have to put it in the same box with Don't Say Goodbye, WYBTFM, Lie to Me.... :( - why do the best songs always get left out? Surely it can't be only the press having a go at them for doing ballads...Heck, that's all Adele does and she couldn't care less about the reviews, because she knows what fans want.

I really liked WISG. A very SISYL vibe and a shame it wasn’t on Odyssey to be honest.

Completely agree with Milly’s comment about III ageing the best - it’s a great album, and the re release added those 2 great songs (never really liked Bird in my Hand).

I guess when they’re together writing they’re looking for that energy in their songs, but then Gary takes a more organic approach I feel when writing solo material. It’ll be interesting to see if we get anything from him in the next couple of years album wise.

I think it will be at least 3 years before we get the next take that album, we will prob get a solo mark and Gary album before we get a take that one.

Odyssey looks to remain Top 5 this week.

3 Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - A Star Is Born (4.2k)

4 Fleetwood Mac - 50 Years: Don't Stop (4.0k)

5 Take That - Odyssey (3.8k)

Oh boy, I thought the sales last week were bad, but they're abysmal this week :D

Sales are always dreadful in January. Expect very small sales figures from here on in. Some artists are selling decent amounts, for example, 400,000+, unfortunately TT aren't.

As we've pointed out before their fan base has been decimated - and to some degree they have themselves to blame. They've released sub standard music and ignored quality tracks. If you don't give the fan base what they want/expect, eventually they get fed up.

Re solo albums. I'm not sure about Mark but I wouldn't be surprised if Gary releases an album and does some shows to coincide with his 50th.

From a music perspective they appear not be to be listening to the fans which along with other factors has diminished their sales.

With Odyssey, to date it is having a good chart run and has remained very stable.

Sales in Jan are always poor, but it’s great that they could have another week in the top 5. A very impressive chart run to date, all things considered

To date, it is showing some staying power but that could change quickly.

With the tour, it should help keep sales going and also help it stay in the chart.

Chart position could have been better but for me sales are more important.

Interesting that Westlife have done so well with their comeback single. I understand it's 3 on the singles chart after one day of sales - a great return, although I don't know their sales figures.

I realise that they've probably garnered higher sales because it's their first release in 8 years but it does go to show that acts like TT can do well. I'm assuming that Westlife's demographic isn't that much different to TT - perhaps a slightly younger fan base but still, it does suggest that 'traditional' pop acts can succeed in today's charts.

TT should have kept to their winning formula - they should definitely have released more ballads!!!!!

Great, so now they should be over the 250k sales threshold. Only 45+ k more to go. That's reachable with the tour approaching fast.

I wish Westlife the best with their comeback, but I doubt they're gonna make a big dent in the charts.

I think the new Westlife song is very good and may reach the Top 10.

Odyssey now has its 7th straight week in the Top 10 albums and moves a step nearer to reaching platinum.

It's funny how we all have different tastes. I find Westlife's single to be quite boring, but good luck to them. Not everyone has to like their music, just the right number of people.

I really like the new Westlife single. I am happy that it is not just one of their typical soppy covers.

They are no Take That though!!!
