Posted October 24, 200618 yr ...fresh from her stint alongside Dawn French in the fanbtastic play 'Smaller', Alison Moyet is set to release a live album recorded in Covent Garden on her One Blue Voice tour last year. She's also been recording a new album of new material after leaving Sanctuary Records and signing a new deal with Universal. This album will see her return to work with Bristol's The Insects production team, who have worked with Goldfrapp, Massive Attack, Portishead and Spiritualized. They produced her gorgeous 2002 album, 'Hometime'. Can't wait..... Britain's loveliest voice in my eyes..... and a terrific songwriter, too. http://www.theworkspr.com/music/amoyet.htm

October 25, 200618 yr Author W14, yes.... they seem to be taking up where Sanctuary left off - signing up established big-selling acts who have little interest in playing the media game any more. Moyet has confirmed that three of the songs from Smaller will be on the new album (all three are fantastic), and possibly the first recorded version of her version of Melanie's 'Momma Momma' which is one of the most amazing covers I've ever heard - she always plays it live, but has never recorded it. Siouxsie's forthcoming solo album for them promises to be amazing, I think. Due early 2007 from what I hear.

October 26, 200618 yr Author The full-on major labels seem to forget that Radio Two is by far the most popular radio station in the country.... and acts like Moyet and Siouxsie still sell a helluva lot of records.
