so if Mcfly get to number one

do you think they will managed to get one of the fewest weeks on chart for a number one single? (excepting the elvis one which was re-issue of a song that did maga weeks year and years and years ago?)

4 or 5 weeks will drop fast, but only because of all the signing means many sles in first week.

It reminds me of when Victoria Beckham released "Out Of Your Mind" and went on a signing tour & dragged her husband along - sold 199,000, but only got to #2, behind a Dance record featuring a daughter of a former Blue Peter presenter.....

I predict 1-6-19-31-49-73- OUT

Here's hoping it beats or equals Blur when tehy flopped with Beetlebum, which IIRC went 1-7-29-OUT

Here's hoping for 1-12-OUT or if they're lucky 1-12-39-OUT

Six. Their last one did seven, so I think that's about right. ^_^
4 weeks, the last one dropped like a bomb, this will follow suit

I predict Mcfly will set a record for only one week on the chart by a No.1. And Girls Aloud will stay on the chart for 200 weeks, with the OCC changing chart rules for them and crowning them queens of the world.

Does that satisfy all the GA fans out there or do you want the individual heads of Mcfly too because they happen to be outselling your band?

Here's the Beetlebum chart run:

{1}-7-29-42-68-59R(8)-73

Pretty bad but they did manage 7 weeks total.

mcfly have loads of teenage girl fans who go and buy there single the first week its out and then no one else buys it. that is why they drop soo quick. but girls aloud will last longer because its a catchy song and there will be new buyers everyweek no matter who they are, whereas mcfly, once the teenage girls have bought it, who else is gonna buy?
